Exactly, even Fanta who surprised me with his stupidity at times saying Louis was out of control going to the basket. He obviously does not know RJs game. RJ should have been on an All Big East team…. PERIOD

I am not crapping on Luis today at all because he had a GREAT game but I will wait until he has a few more of them before I ordain him “generational”.

Glad coach had Smith in the starting line up to get off to a great start which had been an issue of late. Smith had a dynamic first half. His starting 5 is what I always thought it should be.
agree 100% but Zuby gets an honorable mention as he played a fine all around game as well.
New Mexico is strong and scrappy. He’s still so weak physically still. Not the best matchup for Sim and Brady. Sim badly blew a box out that led to a huge New Mexico three.
Wilcher also looked mentally totally flustered by the physicality in the second half. Today was a Good early season test for him
Assuming you flipped his point total, he had 21.
We finally put two solid halves together and did a lot of the little things against a very solid and well coached New Mexico team. We are going to need to continue to play this way this coming week and even improve.
Important games coming up but very encouraging today. Tons of talent here and we will only get a ton better from here.

This team will grow as the season goes on just like last years team. This years team much higher ceiling though

So being high scorer in all three games so far including a double double today, 7 assists and holding down the other teams best player doesn’t impress you? Other than some poor foul shooting in the last game Luis has been pretty impressive.

I think we have over rated our depth at this point in the season. Clearly from the second half Pitino has concerns as well.
Wilcher will be fine. Good game for him today to get a taste of the physicality and learn how to deal with it. We’re going to need his shooting ability going forward
RJ was unreal today. He’s insane in the paint…particularly on either side of the basket. We should post him up often. He defended Dent well on defense which is crazy.
Smith looked better than Dent. He’s everything we missed last year. I don’t care if he turns the ball over 4-5x a game is he plays like this.
I thought the Kadary criticism was way overblown. If he has 15 turnovers, I still want him doing what he did at the end. He played great help defense, his passing was great, he rebounded, and he bullied New Mexico after the 4 minute stoppage, when it counted most.
If you squint you could see the Artest Elite Eight team with all the 6’5-6’7 players hitting the glass and switching.
Prey showing promise. Should make a good tandem with Zuby by conference play.

Think Luis defense on Dent was huge. A smart move by Pitino to do that

Nice to get a quality win while being ranked. No letdown.
So many good contributions. Just need to extend that to the bench players as well. On to Baylor!

it is one game, as Dinkins mentioned it is situational/match ups. Lets see what happens over the next few games to get a clearer picture on our bench.
