(NCAA-WEST/Providence) #15 Omaha, Thu., Mar. 20, 9:45p, CBS

Won’t even entertain the thought of a competitive game in this one. We’re too good.

Stay healthy and hopefully get starters some rest for Saturday. LFG!
That's what I thought about a quarter century ago when we played Detroit. Zendon Hamilton, Felipe Lopez, Ron Artest, Lavar Postel and Ty Grand looked like final four talent. I'd say the talent was better, overall, than this team. Tarik Turner was held scoreless...and we lost by two. I'm expecting a 20 point win because of who's coaching us...but you never know.

Pitino is the number one reason I'd bet my life we will win this game.

How deflating was it when that Lopez potential game winner 3 clancked off the back of the iron as the horn sounded?

There hasn’t been a 2 seed or a 1 seed that saw the 15 seed coming yet, but still it happens. I won’t pretend to have seen a minute of Omaha this year, but they have 3 D1 players capable of scoring 30, and some size inside. I’ll be nervous until we’re up 10.

Omaha (auto correct changed it Osama LOL) has played one team around our caliber this year, Iowa st, and they lost 83-51
6-9 in OOC play. I learned a few new school acronyms last night looking at their ESPN page from my phone.

156th in Kenpom. They are 60 slots ahead of Seton Hall, five behind Bryant, 40 behind DePaul

Here's Omaha's players stats in conference:

- Play 8 guys
- Leading scorer Sutton (6'8 220) is on a tear.
- Junior Point guard (White) has been playing well and might be their most important piece looking at their Ast #s.
- Shooters, 6 guys taking more than two 3's and making greater than 35%. As a team shot 40% in conference.
- Rebound by committee
- Defense is not their strong point. 75 points allowed on the year while not gambling for steals or being aggressive.

They don't see a defense like ours in that conference. That's one thing I am certain about.

As long as they don't go nuts from 3, we'll be fine, and we usually do a good job cooling down teams after they start out hot from the perimiter.

Six guys averaging more than 2 fouls per game. Feel like I'll be at The Dunk until 2 am
Yeah hard to figure out their defensive approach. Give up a ton of points, but yet don’t go for steals or blocks, while still committing a bunch of fouls. Usually the aggressive fouling team would be gambling for steals.
