NCAA Tournament

Barkley gave Penn State zero chance before the game. Talked about the Texas A&M athleticism. Said it ”won’t be close”. I get he’s paid for strong opinions but so funny to watch it go the other way completely. Penn State kicked their ass raining threes.

Unfortunately now I have to listen to my son with all the “basketball valley” talk. At least until they meet Texas or are they going to eliminate the whole state?

Chuck is a funny dude and great tv personality, but it is fairly obvious he doesn't watch college ball all year. He's an NBA guy. They put him on the pregame just because of his presence I feel like

Assuming you would consider them a blue blood, which I don't think most people do.
Really ? Would you consider Arizona Blue Blood ? Virginia has won a NCAA Championship in the last 5 years . Both Schools have a history of early departures in the Tournament . Other than Duke and NC , I would say Virginia has more Blue Blood than any other ACC School. Especially during the tenure of Tony Bennett as BB Coach . But , even going back to the Terry Holland , Ralph Sampson era , they were usually a Big Time program .

Charles Barkley is a big personality, his college BB opinions meh, but a good watch anyway.
On occasion , Charles has omitted Larry Bird and Magic Johnson from his list of all time top 10 greatest Players . You never know what will come out of his Mouth . And , he often says things just to get a rise out of his cohorts

They aren't nearly as big time as the schools that are traditionally called blue bloods though. I would call Arizona light blue at best I think.

They consider themselves a blue blood which makes it so much more enjoyable when they lose.
Entry into the club seems tough. Would most people consider UConn one? Pains me to say they probably are worthy, but it may be another 50 years before there is consensus.

A lot of these heavy underdogs did a great job of bringing the better teams down to their level. They knew they couldn't rise up their level of play, so they game planned in the other direction.
That NKU game stings a bit. They outplayed Houston and just missed too many open threes. They could have won by ten

Picked Kennesaw State in my bracket this year. I don't know anything about their team but have thought Xavier were frauds all year and I feel like the Freemantle injury has left them vulnerable to an upset

If they were frauds what were we.

I filled out three separate brackets and picked Kennesaw State in one of my brackets. Xavier's injuries seems to be rearing its head.

Well they've been ranked at some time 34 of the last 38 years, in the top 10 at some time 27 of those years, in the post season top 10 17 of those years and a top 4 seed 22 of those years. Over that period 8 sweet sixteens, 6 elite 8's, 2 final 4s, 1 Final and 1 National Championship. If that's not blue blood then are we saying only Duke, UNC, KY, Kansas and UCLA are blue bloods? Case could be made for that I guess. See the historic Sweet 16 list attached. PS K State being on this list is the only surprise.
