NCAA Tournament Thread

This sums it up......

Stewart Mandel ‏@slmandel
The Big East imploded, started over from scratch and still got back to the Final Four before the Pac-12.

In the spirit of today...the conference died, was buried and in the third year...rose from the dead.

Not too shabby at all! Yet he has been criticized quite a bit for early exits. Meanwhile we still sit and wait just to be back as a perennial NCAA team rather than once in every blue moon sandwiched between mediocre/awfulwant
Yes, I will say it: Thank you Michael Jordan!

How many Johnnie coaches do you want Jordan to fail on?
Jarvis tried to parlay Deuce on the staff which killed the deal which Jarvis would have undoubtedly failed at.
Later Jordan hired failure Dunlap to make up for it.

Where is ccnobz at? Bet Nova, Oklahoma and UNC before the tournament. Obviously put a few extra on UNC bc of odds but I'd take down around 2,100 for either of the 3.

Stupid of me to bet a few hundred on UVA at +350? Only risk I'd assume is Notre Dame and that shit program in the boonies

I'm still alive with Villanova and UVA, have NOVA taking it all. Go Big East!

I need you guys to all root for Notre Dame to win it all, because if that happens I could still win first place in my pool despite my champ going out in round 2.
Do you really want us guys to root for your team to help them win and win the pool for you? Remember we all root for St. John's. You may want to rethink that one. ;)

Kenpom:

Villanova over Oklahoma 75 to 72 with a 62% chance of victory.

If there was any doubt, today's game reminds me that there is no team in the country I dislike more than Syracuse. Couldn't be happier to see UVA sticking it to them.

Just goes to show you that there are very few great teams in this tournament. If Syracuse can make the final 4, it's a pretty weak field. In fact, they should never have been in the field in the first place.

Well it might have been a miserable season but we beat a final four ACC team :)

Who would have thought one of our seven wins would have been over a final four team.

Jay Wright leaves the seat of " who can't win the big one" and Virginia's Bennett sits right down. That's how college basketball works now.

It's not like Syracuse lacked talent. Seven guys played and all seven were at least 4 star recruits.

And 2 more coming next year. A well oiled machine. Why play fair? Cheat and advance.

Zing!!

The fact that St. John's beat a Final Four team is more remarkable than Cuse being in the Final Four.

Total sour grapes plus they beat Gonzaga which St John's never does
