And then there was one, Xavier goes down leaving Nova as the last Big East Team standing. Two huge threes in the last 25 seconds including the game winner at the buzzer by Wisconsin. Wow!!!!
 
Xavier comes up so small down the stretch, terrible possession after terrible possession. BE earning mid-major status, no way around it.

Looked like it was well-defended.

That's why, as much as we all love this tournament, it's probably not the right way to judge teams/leagues. Anything can happen in the one game and out formant.

Sumner called for the charge, and Wisconsin has the ball with 3 seconds remaining. I kinda felt a bad play coming from Sumner. I knew he was gonna go right, and obviously, the Badger defender knew it, too.

Maybe.... But, a good defensive play, nonetheless. He beat Sumner to the spot.

Didn't understand why Davis did not get up on Koenig on the 3 and invite him to drive
 
Heck of a shot by Koenig.

Didn't like the offensive foul call. It was tied-up, four seconds left and a sweet sixteen on the line. Really?
 
Northern Iowa also lost their guts late in regulation. It came back to bite 'em in the arse. They ended up losing in double OT to Texas A&M.

Can't believe that game got to overtime. I turned it off, thought A&M was dead.
 
Glass slipper came off of N. Iowa. Hung in valiantly but should have won it in regulation. Up 12 with 44 seconds to go and lose in double OT. Great job by A&M and Reggie Miller wasn't even in the house.
 
I thought I read in another thread that he, Chris and Matt were in Glenn Falls to see Shamorie in the State Federation Championships.

Thanks Otis, I thought I saw that somewhere and it was in your post on the Ponds State Federstion thread. In reading the article however, the game being referred to was the City Championship that the three attended together, not the State Fed.
 
Lets hope Nova wins next week to keep the he conference alive. Tough loss for X.

Have fun. I think I'm done with it. I think I'll watch the bachelor if that crappy show is still on. Or maybe I'll freeze my ass off at aqueduct and lose $100. Almost anything beats watching big east teams fizzle out under the bright lights.

Hopefully by the time St. John's makes enough wins to warrant consideration they will still be including the big east. I'm figuring 2022 or thereabouts.

Correct and SFA also blew their game to ND. brutal loss, no way the sugarcoat. Walkup as good as he played chucked the missed three and left his man to triple Jackson who missed and allowed ND to crash the boards .
Liteghts out the parties over.
