I really love watching Gonzaga play and hope they win it all but I expect a Gonzaga - Baylor final to be a really good one that I'll stay up past my bedtime to watch to the end. Probably the only real test they'll get to an undefeated season. Baylor's guards are really good but Baylor will have to find a way to deal with Timme to have a shot at winning.  And Suggs is unbelievably good in such an understated way.

Agreed. Davion Mitchell is what we all should hope Posh becomes.

At this point I will stay up past my bedtime to watch the beginning.   The end not very likely given I don't have a rooting interest.   I'll DVR it for sure.

NCJohnnie, I know we have similar bedtimes, and like you I will violate mine to watch Gonzaga win (hopefully).

In a one-and-done you just never know.

WVa a good but not great team this year fought them to a five point loss. I know that was back in early December at Banker's Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. and Suggs had only 4 points. Scott Drew will probably call up HuggyBear for some insight. WVa was up by 5 at halftime.

Gonzaga meets all of my criteria for having a rooting interest when the Johnnies (any Big East team) are not involved: small Catholic (Jesuit) college, not a major state school with unlimited resources, not a legendary Blue Blood (though recent vintage blue blood); with a very likable and great coach; no scandals no cheating; seems like great kids who are team first, not me-first. Only thing missing is Sister Jean, but hey, she is from another Jesuit school ;-)

The worst part of the tournament is listening to the NBA guys in the studio show. The other day Kenny Smith was saying Timme wouldn't be able to handle the athleticism of USC. Please, he had 15 at the half and did Kenny know the Zags have played a pretty damn good out of conference schedule? I'm guessing no

I think moving the days of the week and also some pretty lackluster games have led to this

Any ratings momentum around the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament stalled during the Elite Eight, which posted record-low viewership numbers, per SBJ’s Austin Karp. Network execs expected viewership numbers to drop for the Elite Eight, which moved from a Saturday night/Sunday night to a Monday/Tuesday night-time slot. But the whopping 45% viewership drop was higher than many expectations.

Butler v Houston is starting. I'm glad it's on CBS.

ESPN is predicting it 47.7% and 52.3% for Baylor. I just want to see a competitive game.

I don't plan to stay up late for the Gonzaga v UCLA game. ESPN predicts 89.7% for a blow out.

Think this late push that Houston is gonna go punch for punch is wrong. Baylor by 6-8.

What was the impact on the sweet 16 ratings? I bet they were quite a bit higher moving to the weekend. And ad revenues over 12 hours vs 6 were probably also substantially higher.

Baylor started strong on both ends. Houston's halftime adjustments should be interesting. 20-45 at the half.

I wonder if UCLA and Gonzaga's players are watching Baylor?

Those guys are brutal to listen too. Timme has some incredible moves around the hoop. Great footwork and high bb IQ. Not surprising since he Dad played ball. Reminds me a lot of Pau Gasol.

I think Houston adjusted their travel schedule at halftime.

LOL That's true. Probably asked what movie will be playing.

Charles Barkley said at halftime he didn't think Houston would make 45. Sir Charles missed it by 14 points.

Baylor's had a memorable season. I hope the championship game lives up to expectations.

Clark Kellogg losing his patience with Barclay and Smith, Can't say I blame him. Pairing those 2 with Kellogg and Gumbel,
2 of the very best in the business, is a huge mistake by CBS IMO.

I checked the score and was quite surprised. UCLA came to play. Gonzaga still has 14 mins to set things right and win.
