NCAA Tournament Discussion

Watched the Florida-Nevada game. Thank the scheduler that SJU didn't play either of those teams. Big, talented players who shoot, pass and rebound. Very impressive squads...

And in the NIT as well.
I think he meant his brackets. PS you still got one more right than me. And Jack Williams has the worst bracket in the group so it's not that bad. ;)
Man I made 3 different brackets for 3 different bracket groups and 2 of them are the most horrendous brackets I’ve ever picked.

The only bracket I have that’s doing is okay is one where I was just fooling around and took Murray st to the final four.

I’m in a college bracket group with a bunch of kids and the winner is gonna take home like 550 dollars, and after one day my chances for the money are essentially gone. I had Belmont making sweet 16 run. Nevada making elite 8 run. Both of those being out of the question just ruined me.

I also stupidly let Zach braziller convince me northeastern was gonna upset somebody. They suck

Don’t beat yourself up. I watch as much college basketball as I can during the season and yet my bracket is the worst one

Really looking at all the talent teams in the country, couldn’t see us deserving to get a bit from either the Nit or NCAA. Going to the NCAA and being man handled just made things worse for us Hope the recruits we have coming next yr jell into a good team provided cages are made to staff and we do much better recruiting top player or at least have the skill to pick players that will become top players
Ore bubble was broken this yr Thinking Heron should stay mo but hoot those coming in are better defensive players a and our rebounding improves since we will have more size and a presence in the middle

Pre- and early season I would have had them in Final Four with legit shot at championship. Saw the warning signs as season progressed and still went Elite Eight with them.

The big pool I'm in has former Golden Gopher Miles Tarver in it, and he picked Minnesota to go to the Elite Eight. If he pulls that off he'll shoot by everyone at top of those standings.

Nevada should have done better, but they did lose their starting point guard early on and their play most of the season was undisciplined, especially in first half of game. Caroline's performance yesterday was underwhelming.
Musselman expected to use this senior heavy squad to advance his career. Don't know where he'll be next year.

Too many transfers, coach unwilling to play bench (even with a 5-star sitting there) and too many missed 3 point attempts.

Not sure who is announcing the Texas Tech game as I just turned it on, but after a nice block by Owens one of the two guys said "my Johnnies could have used Tariq down the stretch".

That would be slick talking Steve Lavin haha

Yes he is, 12 points, 3 rebounds and 4 blocks, including a highlight film block and alley oop slam in last few minutes.

Another huge misstep that staff wasn't able to keep him here - and worse, didn't even seem to care that much when he left because we had Keita or something.

Don't look now, but Virginia's down by 7.

It's very early, though, but you just know that if this keeps up, this storyline will be taking off.

12 now. if this gets to 15 they might be in deep crap. i think pressure of what happened last year may make them buckle.

They play a very deliberate style, that has to frustrate the teams with great athleticism (like UNC), but keeps lesser teams in the game.

The big problem with this is, that it does not lead itself to big comebacks, and Virginia is very close to having to pick up the tempo, which they don't do.

Goodman
Halftime:

Gardner-Webb 36, Virginia 30

Gardner-Webb shooting 54 percent from the field Virginia only 2-of-8 from 3. It honestly could have been much worse for the Cavaliers.

UC Irvine about to finish off the upset of Kansas St.

I had K State going to a regional final, so this sucks for me, but great for UC Irvine.
#13 UC-Irvine just upset #4 Kansas State. That's a bracket buster.
True story: I predicted UC-Irvine.
