Obviously, the officiating had nothing to do with our losing tonight. We did that all on our own.

That being said, I want to give full credit to Gene Steratore. He pulled no punches on that Heron flagrant foul. Came right out and said that the refs were wrong. In football (which is the only other sport that has an officiating specialist on the broadcasts), even when the specialist says it was a bad call, they try to find some excuse, or justification, for the ref's call. None of that from Steratore. I mean, he didn't rant and rave about it (I wouldn't expect him to do that), but he also made it clear that his fellow refs overreacted to what was an obviously hard fall by Dort.
 
It's amazing that Yale is as close as they are in this game, considering they are shooting worse then we did last night (and that's saying something).

5/31 from 3 point range (or something like that), but they only trail LSU by 4, with 30 seconds left.

Unfortunately for me, Yale was my upset pick in both my brackets. At least they made it exciting!
 
Didn't sleep well last night after that stinker.

However, Louisville being the first team to lose today helps. Just a reminder that by tomorrow night over half the field will be eliminated. Most of them will have had higher ceilings than us, too. By the end of the weekend over 75% of teams will be gone.

Not excusing our performance last night, just saying. Other fan bases will be joining us in our misery shortly.

I had Yale too, so that stung. I have Belmont over Maryland on the other side (since one first four winner usually survives, and judging by their second half last night, ASU doing so is unlikely). Had Belmont in the Sweet Sixteen, because I thought LSU was in too much turmoil. That pick is not looking good, right now.
 
Per usual I am anti-ACC.

ACC 0-1 right now and Florida state is getting all they can handle from Vermont
 
Up 2 with 1 second left, and Auburn just fouled the three point shooter.

New Mexico St. had the easy layup to tie, but they passed it out go for the win, and Auburn fouled. Unreal.

Yeah, the kid passing on the layup bit New Mexico State in the butt since his teammate only made 1-3 from the FT line after being fouled behind the arc.

Yeah, must be poor coaching all the way around . Pearl for his kid fouling the 3 point shooter to nearly give the game away . Then the New Mexico Coach when his guard passed up the tying open lay up to throw to the 3 point shooter . Then , the New Mexico Coach again when his player missed 2 of 3 free throws that would have won the game . Gee, it’s bad Coaching on late game execution . How about these Players not executing ? Pearl must be a terrible Coach . Remember it’s not the Bruce’s and Mo’s , it’s the Bobby and Joe ‘s .

Craziest thing in that Auburn game was Harper (arguably their best player) fouling the kid from NMS with about 15 seconds left when they were up three and it was Harper's fifth foul! Talk about a brain cramp, I think Pearl was ready to strangle him. Likely would have cost them the game if it went to overtime.
 
Haven't watched any of the Murray State - Marquette game yet as I have been watching Belmont (another one of my first round longshots) trying to upset Maryland, but see Murray State is up 10 early. I really enjoy these first two days of MM the most!

That Belmont kid just stopped and didn't know what to do with the ball.
You play ball your whole life, then in the big moment it's like some freeze up and dont know what to do.
