(NCAA-Game 1, Dayton) - Arizona St., Wed. Mar. 20, 9:10 pm, TruTV / 970 AM

Gotta make Rothstein eat his words. He picked ASU to upset Buffalo. Before it is decided if they even get to that game. Lets go! Almost 24 hours away

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but ASU PG Remy Martin strained his groin in their last game. Could certainly help if he's not 100%. Hoping Ponds can take advantage of that.
Rothstein;
Bobby Hurley tells us on @CBSSportsNet that Arizona State's Remy Martin (groin) went through every drill today in practice and should be 100 percent by the time the Sun Devils face St. John's on Wednesday
I would be shocked if Bobby H said anything but that. He was held out of drills for a few days so you never know, he can re-tweak it at any time. Press him and make him run a lot.

More bulletin board material, hope the team takes the 'Us against the world' approach,.

I do something similar where I pick against us when I make my ncaa bracket. So we either win and I’m ecstatic and don’t care about any bracket, or we lose and I get the small consolation of my bracket getting something right

Haha same here it lessens the blow mildly. Only bet on the opposition ML when we were favored and it usually was a good hedge on my emotions

I can never bring myself to do this. For some ridiculous reason I feel the need to pick SJU for 2 wins every time. Any less, I feel wrong. Any more, I feel stupid. It's tough.

Unfortunately this is why some coaches historically haven't let underclassmen speak to the press.

It's a dumb and dumber thing to say.

Dumb to say if it isn't true, and even dumber if it is true.

I think Ponds is looking for a way to defend their horrible play.

I don't think someone fighting for an NBA 1st round pick would be mailing it in.

Sad to say, the Ponds quote is consistent with the way it appeared to this fan on more than one occasion towards the end of the year. Hopefully, the team will be energized by their chance to do something no Johnny team has done in nearly 20 years - win a game in the big dance!

I unfortunately think he checked out a while ago. I hate to say it, but it wouldn't shock me at all if he stopped showing up to class right after our last game. Just one man's opinion, but I think his attitude this season damages his legacy. He's supremely talented, but I'll never look at him the way I look at a Mullin or Sealy, or even D-Lo.

He has one last chance to play with some heart in the ncaa tourny. If not and they play soft.
Then I'll say good f'ing bye. I'll never ever respect anyone that plays with no heart.
Is that why the pundits don't respect them, they all know that this team is heartless? They don't even mention SJU.

We'll see tomorrow night if they care at all that they get no respect.

Demand their respect.

I hate to say it but I agree. In fact I recently made the observation he was carrying himself like he had already signed a pro contract. Not like a kid fighting to get drafted.

It pains me to speak this way about one of our all time leading scorers. And by all accounts he's a good kid But man this season has been weird. It all began when he acted "too cool for school" during the exhibition game.

But starting writing in the DLO thread but never posted, that even though Ponds is more talented, I like DLO better. DLO never mailed it in.

Chris should have benched him then, and yeah I'm talking about about all damn season, unless he stopped the bs.
Oh he's the star player on the team, Chris would be run out of town right?
All that would unfaze me, bottom line is if you're playing on the team I coach, then you'll be just one of the guys.
I sense any hot shot shit, you're coming on the bench.
If the AD told me to play him, I'd just quit, and tell him: "You know best right? So you coach.
