NCAA corruption case poised to take down Hall of Fame coaches, top programs

Rick Pitino hires agent, tells ESPN he wants to coach again and will turn everything - phone records, emails, voice messages - over to any school that wants to hire him:
Balls of an elephant
If he includes and produces Hillary's 33,000 emails I would consider him. ;)

OMG. Sick. Thank God, they’ve left the Big East.

Contingent on his hiring Jared and Ivanka as his assistants.

I am hearing Bonaventure's Mark Schmidt to sPitt and Patrick Beilein to Bonaventure.

Do Pitt fans find that to be a sexy enough hire, though?

As I said earlier, Pitino—in a fair world—should coach KY State’s Prison team.

In the stranger than fiction catagory what if :
1 the corruption case against Pitino gets dropped
2 he gets a settlement from Lou, holds a press conference where his altar boy demeanor convinces the public he has been screwed by everybody
3 he moves back to L. I. ,tells Mullin he would like to coach as an unpaid ass't with no recruiting duties but strictly X's and O's as I think Gene Keady was used
4 what does SJU come?

Would not like the stink around our program.

More like Horror movie stuff - wouldn't want him anywhere near our program at this point.

My post about Pitino assisting at SJU is further out than fantasy island. But I do feel he will surface somewhere because he is the type who can deny something even if his hand is caught in the cookie jar, the NCAA will try to put this scandal under the rug and Pitino is very much like Larry Brown who floats his name out there whenever there is an opening he is interested in.
He will be back and will probably end up in a good situation.

I think you nailed it. Pitino will be back, but no way on earth would he ever be capable of the humble ‘mea culpa’ you initially scripted.
The man is a snake oil salesman, selling ‘basketball’.

Personally I think this situation is different than the past because it is the FBI, not the NCAA. The fallout for Pitino will be permanent. If/When the NCAA gets implicated then we'll see a wholesale migration of rats jumping from ships. But regardless the demise of the NCAA seems inevitable to me and has been in the works for a while now. It is just a matter of how the people who have been profiting figure out how to keep profiting without the NCAA front.

He bangs a female on a table in a restaurant, then pays her $3000 to have an abortion. I don,t think that will ever pass
the Vincentian protocol..

I think Pitino is done. This FBI investigation will go on for a while. Then there will be trials. Whether they get him right away or not, his name will continue to surface. He's 65 years old and not enough time left to let people forget.

That he is even mentioned at this point is stunning. Only in the SEC kids only in the SEC.
I think this would give our fellow poster BAMA one more reason to hate the Dawgs.LOL
Hahahaha! Would fit right in with Kirby Smart's dirty recruiting tactics (and in Kirby's case I don't mean payolla).

I figured you would enjoy that. Could you imagine? No shame if that happens. None
