More Jordan Problems?

Jordan probably didn't think he was going to come back, "took off" the spring semester like those guys do and now that he is coming back, he just has to catch up a little bit.

Like someone else mentioned, I don't think he would have committed to coming back this year if he was going to have a problem academically qualifying. It wouldn't have been the NBA but the kid could have started getting paid to play basketball somewhere next year.

PG - Lovett..... Mussini

Jordan Who???... Seriously, if this kid still doesn't "get it".... he never will!

WAKE UP.... or go home to philly and stay there!
.

Jordan who? Um our best player by far
Please... this kid plays like he studies... which is whenever he FEELS like it... Give me Lovett & Mussini, two kids who get after it every day... IMHO, we will be just fine

And you know that LoVett and Mussini get after every day because....?

Those 2 are freshmen. Over RJ?! Get a clue, he is our best player. How would you know they're even capable of playing at this level yet? Bc our staff signed them? Another case of optimism la-la land on here. We need our best player.

Could we all stop passing harsh judgment on the kid who has had a ridiculously difficult life to date.
He is part of our family and ended off the season playing very, very well.
Since then he has been the most vocal supporter of the program.
Can we not just wish him all the best and hopefully his academics and personal life will be in order when September rolls around.
Whether some of you wish to acknowledge he is not just a talented bball player but is also a human being and human beings encounter various degrees of problems.

Can someone please post the personal difficulties mentioned in this thread?

We don't know if Lovett will even qualify, or if Mussini will comitt. Jordan is a stud w exp, he is the key to us potentially having a good season next year. That said, assuming Jordan is eligible, it is imperative we have Lovett or !and Mussini. Still gotta contend w (Jordan) possible sick mother, foul trouble, injury, Carneseca Arena blues. , and have to be able to give him a breather. Jordan is a maintenance problem, but I feel he believes in Mullin and Mullin will be able to keep him in check.

Danny Noonan: I gotta go to college.

Ty Webb: You don't have to go to college. This isn't Russia. Is this Russia? This isn't Russia.

Is it possible that someone in the know on the this board can find out exactly what the deal is with Jordan? What he's lacking academically and why? What he's doing to correct it etc.? What the chances are that he will actually be eligible?

my post wasn't made to pass judgment on the kid or to bash him in any way, shape or form. It was just to get some clarification as to what he was actually dealing with.

Evidently Saint John's University does not have a Philly campus. I vote they relocate the Staten Island Campus there. Will displace a lot of angry Guidos but Jordan's attendance would probably improve dramatically.

there was nothing in your post that was inflammatory, I don't think posters were referring to you for bashing Jordan.

They're "personal" for a reason. Get off the kid's back. He elected to stay and continue playing here, gotta respect it

+1 for you on the Caddyshack reference.

Rysheed is a good guy. It's amazing that this all speculation as of now and some are so quick to bash him. I hope he qualifies. No chance to be very good without him next year.

Not if he can't get qualified. Hope he can straighten himself out at some point, but he makes it hard to root for him.

In fairness, I always found going to class got in the way of getting drunk and laid. Of course being a backup Middle infielder on the baseball team my college situation was a little different than Rysheed's

Ahh, a "eureka moment "...that's why I couldn't get laid --i went to class!, :(

Exactly, I mean they were originally Lavin targets so there has to be some difficulties with them I guess. ;)

Agreed. RJ is our best player by far. If SJU has any hope of being in top half of the conference they need Jordan to play 30 plus minutes a game. I'm very excited about Lovett and hoping we get Mussini but they will be freshman and will have their bumps in the road next season. I have faith in RJ that he will be eligible. He's going to have a huge year. Hopefully he can work his way into the first round of the draft.

If he does not qualify I would assume that he would have the fall semester to catch up and be eligible for the 2nd semester? Similar to Amir Garret. I know that would not be ideal but better than nothing

Sorry Jack, not happening. Get Mussini & move on. He may be a "good guy" but he has blown a good opportunity. Sounds like he only has himself to blame.

I didn't think I had been on the kid's back. I thought his problems were just a lack on maturity until I saw the posts related to personal problems.
