Miscalculation

I had a Math Teacher like the one you describe back in the 60’s.

He taught Calculus that you had to take as part of the Core Curriculum in freshman year . I went to every class but , couldn’t understand any problem he lectured on .
Plus , he chain smoked incessantly in Class.
I flunked the class and had to take it and 2nd Semester Math in Summer School with a different teacher I got 2 B’s

Then in my last Semester of Senior year , I had 1 last Math class to take . Guess which Professor I got ? My freshman Math teacher again .
The Gods were not kind !

Same result , except this time , most of the Class didn’t understand any of his lectures . 75 percent of a large class were failing , including me again .

The Class essentially mutinied and the Teacher finally says “ If no one goes to the Deans and complains , I won’t fail anyone .” Everyone signed on and instead of failing , the 75 percent all got D’s. It hurt my grade point average but , I wouldn’t have graduated on time , if I had failed .
He still smoked like a chimney in class though .

I often wondered why the University didn’t dismiss him ? He was terrible .
Calculus is the work of the devil.

I have no inside info on that, do you?
Seems to me if Rick really wanted him, he would be here. But your post about my Storr feelings is not wrong.
I also, and if someone bothers they could find it over summer, was intrigued with what Pitino could do with Jones.

Jenkins thing I was worried about when he committed, but some on here think he is doing well so….. no matter how hard Marillac, myself and the stat sheet try that issue not going to get through on here.
Storr was gone. NIL 💰

And I’m one of the few who was hoping we had most of the guys from last year back

So long as Larry wright doesnt start a thread insisting Jarvis is second greatest coach of all time at SJU I’m good.

And I love following the old guys. Most fun I have these past twenty years as a fan is watching our transfers make the tourney. Some faves include Cedric Jackson at Cleveland State, Elijah Ingram (post Pittsburgh fiasco - thanks Jarvis!) at New Mexico and Owens at Texas Tech.

Looks like we’ll have a few more to watch this year. Let’s hope we make it too!

I won’t, but he is

And for the record- our long lost friend Wusu dropped a nice goose-egg last night against Providence in SHU's recent loss. Keep that in mind when we lock him up in February. SHU enjoying a nice 2 game losing streak now when he was a no-show.
