WHO CARES LOL. Those players that Team LOST last year almost every game. Wusu attacked sju personnel. Throw away year? Did you not read the news that we are still predicted to make the tourny as of today? Plus its not just on the court but off the court. Dont you think Van Macon told coach what was going on? This topic is old and boring. Nobody cares. Whats next Mike Anderson's coaching record?

I had a Math Teacher like the one you describe back in the 60’s.
He taught Calculus that you had to take as part of the Core Curriculum in freshman year . I went to every class but , couldn’t understand any problem he lectured on .
Plus , he chain smoked incessantly in Class.
I flunked the class and had to take it and 2nd Semester Math in Summer School with a different teacher I got 2 B’s
Then in my last Semester of Senior year , I had 1 last Math class to take . Guess which Professor I got ? My freshman Math teacher again .
The Gods were not kind !
Same result , except this time , most of the Class didn’t understand any of his lectures . 75 percent of a large class were failing , including me again .
The Class essentially mutinied and the Teacher finally says “ If no one goes to the Deans and complains , I won’t fail anyone .” Everyone signed on and instead of failing , the 75 percent all got D’s. It hurt my grade point average but , I wouldn’t have graduated on time , if I had failed .
He still smoked like a chimney in class though .
I often wondered why the University didn’t dismiss him ? He was terrible .
based on nothing but "Finger in the air" assessment... i think our magic number is 21 total wins.

You know what would have been a miscalculation? Father Shanley and the A.D. offering CRP the job, but without full control over the roster. This despite direct reports to him of a roster with malcontents and troublemakers. CRP says thanks but no thanks, with someone else who isn't one of the all time coaching greats roaming the sidelines. That wouldn't have been a miscalculation, but a total disaster for the future of the program.

Well said NJ Fan! It's amazing how some people are so obsessed with the old players that never got into a post season tournament and might have had some character flaws! This was the same group of players that had mysteries injuries and constant player suspensions! Regarding Anderson the team would have already been loosed by this time of year!

Appreciate the kind words. I didn’t like Larry Wright until I met him in person and understood his personality. He’s a ball-buster which doesn’t come across well on forums.
In person he’s great. Everyone on this forum would love him in a live setting. We are both the guys that wives and girlfriends don’t want you to go drinking with.
We don’t usually agree so us coming together like Bushwackers on Jenkins is unfortunate for the rest of you

to quote cher in moonstruck Snap Out of It. they are gone and it was Pitinos and the players decision. Pitino laid out the ground rules and most of them did not like it. Weather it was PT guarantees or knowing they would be recruited over they left. I would have loved Stoors to stay and take the challenge and i don't think Jones could take the discipline. We have new players who WANT to be here and giving us 100 percent. They are learning and growing and giving us the best season we have had in years. I have no ill will to the ones who left but lets support our team now.
That’s very similar. I had actually started working at Shearson Lehman January of my senior year in college and because of this one class I couldn’t graduate in spring I had to take the summer class. My bosses at Shearson were telling me F the class i was already hired and working but I felt like I’d totally let down my parents if I didn’t take it. I’m not a psychologist but my guess is the reason why I kept having these dreams is I have tremendous fear of failure and not wanting to disappoint my parents but that’s what driven me in life but those dreams were insane seriously they lasted like 10 years after graduating and 10 years into my career

Love Pitino and maybe in his head had to blow up the roster but the fact is would have been a much easier first season if had been willing and or able to keep some of last years team.
Other issue is his revolving everything around a very flawed player out of loyalty with seemingly better options on roster. Ultimately I believe that is what is going to keep us out of the tournament this year.
Again wouldn’t want any other coach here but does not mean he is perfect.
Your main beef is that your favorite, Storr, is gone. That is not on Coach. Storr decided to leave on his own for whatever reason-did not want to work hard for playing time or wanted more NIL money or whatever. HE chose to leave. End of story.

Seems to me if Rick really wanted him, he would be here. But your post about my Storr feelings is not wrong.
I also, and if someone bothers they could find it over summer, was intrigued with what Pitino could do with Jones.
Jenkins thing I was worried about when he committed, but some on here think he is doing well so….. no matter how hard Marillac, myself and the stat sheet try that issue not going to get through on here.
Looks like Jones is doing great at Memphis.
When he was with us, IMHO, he was a total ball hog,
to the point of being irritating.
I can see CRP seeing him and saying to get that kid off my roster.
He is totally counter-productive.
He doesn't have a clue. It's all about him.
He has so much talent, but his mentality nullifies that.
