I clearly said there was one way to stop this talk and that is winning. We are not so that is why was brought up.
Again I did question this strategy in the Summer and was accused of heresy.

Yes brought up because we are losing.

For all that talent, it didn't show in the W/L column. Maybe they lacked chemistry as a unit, and perhaps the reason they are doing well individually, is because they are on different teams.

I couldn't care less about any of them, to be perfectly honest. I care about the team I root for, and that is about it.

In the Summer I didn’t agree with blowing up the roster and everyone got mad. At end of the day we will be in good shape and Pitino will get us back in the tournament, but this appears to be yet another throw away year and it didn’t have to be.

How can you call this another throw away season? If the season ended right now, we would make the tourney.
 
Saw the thread title and broke into cold sweat flashbacks of having the same calculus teach at St. John’s failing the class once dropping it a second time when was same teacher then only to have him again for summer class and only reason I passed it was I memorized every single question from previous tests from him that summer because his final was based all on the previous tests. Literally had occasional nightmares for at least 10 years that a young mjmaherjr couldn’t graduate because he couldn’t pass this one F’ing class

Next 2 games we can win but also could easily lose. If don’t win one of next 2 would have 5 game losing streak going into UConn game and season would basically be over.
Very important next 2 games.

Of course the next two games are important. Not sure what that has to do with your claim that we need to get to 12-8 and 1-1 to give us a “shot”

It matters because right now we are in. And what we and every other team has done to this point matters. And the 20ish teams between 8/9 seed to last 4 in, aren’t going to all finish well. A 7-5 finish isn’t a poor finish. At least when it comes to teams outside the top 30
 
The equation is pretty simple. Forget your quad 1, 2, 3, Ken Pom’s, net ranking, and all the talking heads. Finish in the top 5 of the Big East you’re in the tournament. Finish in a tie for fifth or lower at your own peril.

How we get into that position by the end of the year is the harder calculus.
