I'm all for transfers being part of the mix but it would seem that sit-outs need to be guys who clearly have a role when eligible.
Not sure Carreher isn't the same problem, but hopefully my suspicions are incorrect and he can make an impact.
Never liked this signing (nor Carreher's for that matter ... nor, going back some time, Alpha Bangura's). Odds are these lower-level "stars," are never going to make a big impact when they start playing on a higher level. To paraphrase Pete Seeger: "When will we ever learn?"
Rowsey averaged 20 ppg after transferring from a small team. Ja Morant is a lottery pick for Murray State this year.
Carreher is a player. More size, less quickness, high basketball iQ and an excellent shooter. Spending significant time working on driving to the hoop and improving pull up jump shot. With a penetrating point guard and an inside scoring presence he will fit in very well.
