Or 40 minutes, 40 scalps.
Let's not go there.

I'm sky high on Mike A and thank Mike Cragg for this 'miracle on 34th street' at MSG today.
As others have said, it seems that 'Iron Mike' (aptly named by firestorm) believes he has 'something to prove' which may well result (finally) in press conference spin will become 'reality'.
Wouldn't that be sweet?

Interesting quote in the article :
Most college teams divide recruits among coaches. Each coach is responsible for certain recruits. Missouri uses what its coaches call a “team recruiting” system. All coaches have a hand in recruiting each player. When a player Missouri wants goes elsewhere, the blame falls on the whole staff. There’s no finger-pointing.

Wow what a refreshing concept more then one coach recruiting and the head coach actually meets the potential recruits what an idea!! Lol
He praised Cragg a great deal, reminding him of a recruiter putting full court press on him Wednesday on phone.
He knows the crap Cragg has put up with. Praise him to the point where it becomes harder for Oliva and Booby G. to interfere.

Wow. Stunning endorsements from an impressive cross-section of the 'industry'.
Very encouraged about Coach K's remarks that 'Iron Mike' and Mike Cragg "will build an elite culture and basketball program at St. John's."
Good days may indeed lie ahead.

Looks like no more crap, lazy people at St. John's.
Welcome to NYC, MSG.
You ready to help SJU become ELITE?
You want to become king of NY, it's yours for the taking.

Villanova is to comfortable on top of the B.E.
It's time for a new king.

It's about f'n time! Been stuck with guys who could give a rats ass about continuity. I believe Cragg and Coach Anderson will make this happen.

Agree with you, Johnnie D.
I realize 'rose colored glasses' are typical 'wear' at introductory press conferences as are positive endorsements from friends and colleagues, but this seems 'different'.
I think this guy will work hard and assemble a very hard working and competent staff.
Hoping this is an incredible 'sea change' for St. John's basketball and its culture.

Yeah, the coaching history at SJU hasn't been stellar to say the least in recent years. This really shouldn't be that difficult. I truly feel like Anderson is a real coach who cares. Can't remember the last time I felt this way.

Good, then let's keep that yearly non-conference game between Duke and St. John's going.

Consistent success in conference won't be instantaneous nor will it be easy.
It'll be challenging to be on the same level as Villanova any time soon.
I think it'll take a few years (2-3-?) for that to happen, but with hard work and some luck St. John's could attain that level of success.
Before we reach Nova's level, we have to catch up to the Hall, Providence, Xavier, Creighton, G*town, and Marquette (even with the Hauser Bros 'gone', Wojo works hard and is a good young coach).
Meanwhile, we can hope for a 'decent' showing in 2019-20 and improve steadily from there.
We shall see, but for the first time in a while, I can say: Bring on the future.
