Mike Anderson - Recruiting, Coaching, Etc.

It’s hard to handicap a Season in September . Still many variable to consider .  Covid , injuries , fans attending , etc .   On paper we have a good team and aspirations are high . We return Julian , Posh , Wusu and the rest are all newcomers .  As they were 2 of my favorite players , I wish Williams and / or Earlington had returned . It might have given more continuation to CMA’s style . Still , the newcomers have impressive Credentials . Most are Veterans , Wheeler , Mathis,  Coburn, Smith , Soriano . The new freshman might have difficulty getting playing time but , CMA uses so many combinations , they might get more than expected .                             It would be great if we can finish in the top 4 in the BE . That should get us a NCAA bid but , it would be nice if we could challenge for a BE Title for a change . G’Town was a upset Winner last March . We need to become a Contender finally . Something we haven’t been close to in 2 decades . Hope and optimism prevail .

I like seeing Soriano’s hook shot in that clip.  I hope to see it on the court this season.

It looks like the freshman Pinzon  has a good looking shooting form and a floater.and decent size. He’s going to surprise a lot of people with his bb talents.

Pinzon can definitely play and sees the floor extremely well.  I still think his outside shooting is a work in progress.  I don't think that clip had Pinzon shooting from outside. That was Coburn unless I missed something.

Leaders lead by example and CMA is just a great leader in every respect. Very glad to have him as our coach.

It doesn’t mean much but these kids look like they’re in fantastic shape. Soriano is obvious but look at some pictures of posh and it’s a noticeable difference.

That was the best shooting game (and arguably his best game except maybe the Sierra Canyon game) he had that year.

He needs consistency with that shot and more strength.  I hear he is getting there with both and he is over a nagging injury that affected his game his junior year also.  I think he will be a solid player, but don't expect a whole lot from him his freshman year.
