Mets

I've gone to every home game, and had the time of my life each and every night. However, I can and will gladly say that I am very very happy that tonight I can watch the game from home. This is a much needed rest for many of the die-hards. LGM.

In Chicago. My flight had at least 1/2 a dozen Mets fans decked out in full gear. I'll watch stubhub and see what I can pick up at about 4 pm.

Cubs fans around town are subdued to say the least. One win will change that though.

Hasn't D Wright played in 19 and will be 20 tonight? We played 12 games in 2006. And are 7 games deep into this playoffs. That would mean tonight is his 20th.

10 Mets have played in at least 20 playoff games FOR the Mets. Name them.

all guesses: Jones, Harrelson, Hernandez, Carter, Strawberry, Wilson, Carter, Piazza...?

Alfonzo and Ventura-24
Piazza-22
Jones, Harrelson, Grote, Hernandez, Carter, Strawberry and Dykstra-20
What about Benny Agbayani ?

Missed Benny-22 games tied with Piazza
No matter what happens, Wright will also join the 20 club this year

Stubhub Wrigley prices dropping like a rock.

Citifield was really, really, cold, but right now there is such a party atmosphere at the ballpark. Met fans are so elated to be in the playoffs that almost in any section instant friends are made by the camaraderie of being a long suffering fan. It's awesome as a fan to be part of that.

Geez, 6 of the 7 playoff games this year have been against the likely 1-2-3 in Cy Young voting, and we've won 4 out of those 6. Simply Amazing. You don't gotta believe, but you really should.

My paper shows 71degrees today and 74 tomorrow in Chicago. Go figure.

Speaking of Piazza I expect his nomination into the Hall of Fame this year. Made reservations for Cooperstown in July for next July 24. BTW, all hotels were booked, staying about 40 minutes out of Cooperstown..

8:07 can't get here soon enough.

Now that this Mets team and the new Star Wars trailer has brought back my fondest childhood memories, I fully expect Chris Mullin to lead St. John's again to the Final Four this year to complete the trinity.

The baserunning has been incredible! I never would have imagined that good baserunning could be so valuable. Reminds a bit of how Vince Coleman/Cardinals would abuse the Mets as soon as he got on. He's get a walk two pitches later, he'd be on third and then come home on a flyball.
This baserunning is different that VInce's pure speed. It seems like every Met is locked in on exactly what to do under when the batter hits the ball to this spot. Admittedly, the Mets have been fortunate in that everything has worked. There have been no outs on close plays. Its fun to watch.

Sign Cespedes!!!!

Ivy no friend to the Mets. Terry Collins is FIESTY!

I love TC and he is without a doubt manager of the year. Totally out managing everyone's favorite Joe Maddon.

I guess we have our answer as far as which is more important great young hitting or great young pitching. The hitting might be more beneficial over a long season but come post season great pitching will beta great hitting. #LGM

I just want to see the Mets wipe away that smug look that seems to be seared on Theo Epstein's face.

One more game.
