this team proved something out in L.A. in early July.

before the trades, the return of injured players...this team was battered, and couldn't buy a run with their wilpon coupons...

they took two of three in that series, top of their rotation...

they eked out those wins.

tonight. it was the same. the same closer who has been brilliant all year. the young starters who carried this team on their backs for the first four months. the often maligned daniel murphy being the best hitter on this night...

enjoy this ride no matter how it goes...but hot dag if they didn't do us proud this year, and in this series...the utley disaster, the missed chance to clinch at home, four starts by two amazing pitchers...they won.
