Mets Hot Stove talk--2024-25

Geez and now Tanner Scott to the dodgers.
I couldn't believe that when I saw it. Cohen said he wants to be like the Dodgers but that won't be easy. I now we won two games against them in the NLCS but they were by far the better team and the best team in baseball.

Let's see how this all turns out before criticizing Stearns. There's a report that we're still talking to Pete.

Pete's most probable suitor most likely got off the board. Who's giving him more money?

That same report also has us interested in Profar, still wanting to get another reliever and there were numerous reports of wanting to trade Marte last week.

Let Stearns cook!

Supposedly about $92 million with a player opt out and some escalation clause that can make it a six year deal.

If not him we better put someone with some pop behind him.

He (Soto) a lot on his own but it would be crazy to pitch to him in a tight game with some of the guys we seem to be considering.
It’s also Vientos that suffers without Pete. If we slot Vientos #2 behind Lindor and in front of Soto then Alonso, I’d argue that’s the best spot in baseball to hit. That kid mashes fastballs.

is it me or is this Pete Alonso thing turning into a soap opera, next thing to happen is an appearance by Susan Lucci. Come on Pete, time to "spit" or get off the pot
