That move should have been made this game and I said it before the game. Hell, I wanted Torrens in game 2, you can go back and look.Maybe it comes off as a panic move to start both Torrens and McNeil over Alvy and Iglesias in game 4, but I think you’re at that point in the playoffs where you need to see if that can provide a spark
Yes it's real. Absolutely ridiculous. Should not have played at all tonight.Side note - is that “the manager doesn’t have confidence in me” quote from JD real? Cause wtf? Dude you became a walking strikeout and ran out of gas in like July… Winker has outplayed you… how are you making this about yourself? Jeez you’d think a 37 year old veteran in the league would be able to understand that. This should be his last appearance of the postseason to be honest
I wanted Garrett to get another inning which would have probably led to McGill not pitching.Score was 4-0. We still had an outside chance. Weird decision to surrender. This is the NLCS not Spring Training. Now game is over for certain.
Agreed. There were actually some decent face value tix on Mets website. 8 pm start games are brutal for me, and colder fall nights have set in. Baseball is a very boring spectator sport when you are on the short end of a 4-0 score. Not much to cheer about. So thankful I did not go to the game tonight
How about our lone lefty to pitch to Ohtani there (Young)? Better than letting MeGill give up a bomb.Young is a stiff but he’s a lefthanded stiff. If not why is he even on the roster?I wanted Garrett to get another inning which would have probably led to McGill not pitching.
