Lavin loved visiting Louisiana, Florida and, especially all places in Europe! Tony Chiles was dispatched to exotic destinations like Philly, Baltimore, D.C. and Middle Village, Queens. ;)

St. John's will be in Saturday to see 2020 wing Che Evans (Dulaney) and 2020 forward Justin Lewis (Calvert Hall). Both already hold offers.

Have been to a few pre season workouts and every time there were AAU or high school coaches in attendance. Matt is really connecting with coaches in New York City and other parts of the country.
Just my opinion but the players seem to really like each other and are definitely working hard. The chemistry appears to be very good. I believe that we will surprise a few people this year. Looking forward to the beginning of the season.

Great first hand report from a respected poster. Clearly Matt is a major part of our staff, and gives me some comfort to think he is an alum. If the school takes care of him, he is likely here for a long time.

I haven't seen this level of concerted effort, combined with skill and reputation ever, from my first days at St. John's decades ago. With luck, Matt's & Chris's and Mitch's and the rest of the staff's efforts will put St. John's back into the national conversation in college hoops.
 
I strongly suspect that at some point Chris arranged to have Matt cloned. There can't possibly be only one of him.

if I seem him at the met playoff game and he is out recruiting then cloning is definitely likely
