Maryland Eastern Shore, Tue. Nov. 27, 6:30p, FS1 / 970 WNYM

With the exception of G. Tech game, Johnnies should be double digit favorites in their remaining pre-BE OOC games including tonight, Mt. St Mary's, Princeton, Wagner, St. Francis & Sacred Heart. There will be loads of opportunity to (i)play freshmen and see what they can do and (ii) get our rotation guys playing well together heading into BE play. Looking forward to tonight's game

I wonder if posters on DUKE board openly wonder / complain on why Jordan Goldwire and Antonio Vrankovic do not get more /any time? I mean Duke basically just rotates 6 guys with 7th and 8th guys barely getting 10mins.Clearly Goldwire and Vrankovic need to play more.

What I have never understood is why talented players would choose to go to loaded teams such as Duke, and sit on the bench, instead of choosing hungry teams such as SJU and get immediate playing time.

They want to be on a championship team, even though they themselves didn't do jack, playing just 5-7mins per game. They rather let others get them that championship.

Just get control early, give bench guys a little time (nobody enjoys sitting ) & avoid an injury to a core player. Then it is on to a more competitive, but very beatable Georgia Tech team. Despite some warts so far, who can argue with being in sight of sweeping OOC games prior to Big East season (with a very challenging first four games btw) ?

They can’t buy a shot. Stop shooting threes and start driving and drawing fouls

Can Clark stop shooting threes??
He is worse at layups
He’s a good offensive player but in a little rut. Maybe we can get him out of guarding the post a bit. We are still doubling the low man too much creating opportunities. I’m not clamoring fornus to extend the bench for no reason. Just figure maybe we can use Roberts a little to defend and rebound, something Clark can’t do well in the post.

Dixon guarding a guy who only shoots threes could be an issue.
Marvin Starks starting to bother anyone else or just me?

We are passing the ball well and not forcing things on offense. Shots will start to drop.

Marvin Starks, haha.
8 pts & 6 rebounds for Figgy
. Love this kid... he’s all over the place. Might have a double double at the half...
