SJ hoops reminds me of one of my favorite Wallflowers songs. “The only difference that I see, is SJ is exactly the same as they used to be.”…. Sadly.
 
Zach is saying this is the MOST POINTS allowed EVER at Alumni Hall/Carnesecca Arena . This is some great defensive minded head coach!
 
Why does every B.E. team we play have a much higher basketball IQ than us?
Why does every B.E. team we play get many more 50-50 balls than us?
Why does every B.E. team we play have many more guys that can shoot the ball than us?
Why does every B.E. team we play play with more intensity than us?
Why does every B.E. team we play have better coaching than us?

I can go on and on but I've had enough for one night
When you watch Providence play us next, just remember that they have 5 new starting players
Think about that when you hear CMA whine about having to integrate a few new guys into his system
I'm tired of the excuses!! Time to clean house!!!
Oh, by the way, the great Seton Hall team that crushed us is down by 21 points to Creighton at the half
Can't wait to see us play at Omaha!!!!

Feet aren't moving. Shooters are ignored for seconds at a time. Team plays soft. I know it all falls on CMA, but I have seen what he can do with lesser talent. Soriano having an unexpected all Big East season, and yet we are far worse than anyone predicted. Someone help out here. It can't all be on CMA.

Get feeling mailing it in. I am more hopeful Anderson walks away then him getting fired
 
The post I never wanted to write.

Even if we keep Storr and Gardiner…we won’t win because this guy can’t coach. This is insane but he has to go and even if it means we lose both players, it’s worth it, because we could have 5 All-Americans on the floor and if Anderson is the coach, we’ll still be a bad team.

He has to go. Even if we have to start from the bottom. Even at 10-5 it feels like we’re close enough to it to just suck it up and admit we need a change. Bad.

It all comes down to the players the coach chooses to recruit. We recruit athletes vs basketball players. If an athlete is also a basketball player then you are on the right track, otherwise you have low basketball IQ, players that are not good shooters, etc. Badically in one word the answer to all of your questions can be summed up in one word, Coach.

So did the fans that left the upper bleachers empty tonight. Guys trying to unload tickets at face value 2 for Tuesdays is funny when SJ couldn't give tickets away because of the lackluster play of this team.
 
My take aways, similar to what others said:
• too many back cuts allowed. Wusu and Jones particularly weak in that regard
•inexplicably got away from posh and Soriano in second half. Posh looked like his old self, but only in first half. Soriano is a beast even in BE play.
•team looks nothing like teams of last 3 years where at least we could be mediocre with some notable victories/upsets.
•without curbelo, we have no other ball handler besides posh. Wusu is trusted too much in that role. That said, wusu had a monster game tonight.
•no defense, period. Lose focus far too often.
•there is little offensive contribution available from PF of Stanley, nywie and even traore now.
•they have to integrate storr into valuable minutes the rest of the season.
