we need players like a Kolek. And defenders. I’d play Wilcher Dunlap Zuby Luis and Taylor as a starting 5 rest of yr. Not guaranteed these guys are here next yr. We’re not making the tournament let’s build continuity.

Michigan and BC opened everybody’s eyes to the fact that there were major underlying issues with the defense. Pitino installed the zone for the Xavier game which worked when the team started 4-1 but teams are prepared for it now and can attack it.

Didn’t expect to win this game going in but getting out to a 15 point lead and not even being competitive down the stretch is worse than one of those games where you’re down 6-12 from start to finish.

So many games that we’ve had a chance to win that we just couldn’t get over the hump in. That’s the difference between a good team and a mediocre team and the difference between an NCAA Tournament team and an NIT team. We are clearly the latter in both.

Soriano will probably be remembered fondly around here a few years down the line. But his legacy is going to be never making the tourney and melting down in big games against quality competition
