Marco Bourgault

Why he yanked after 1 min. At this point give him a chance. We are offensively challenged. If he makes some 3s might free up DLO.

He made one misplay and was gone -- what's up with that? I would have liked to see his shot in there at least during the last ten minutes.

He can't play against teams like Georgetown
He is a one trick pony - a stand still jump shooter who is incapable of creating his own shot
His only value is against a passive zone defense
He should be a DNP against defensively aggressive teams like Georgetown

Who else on the team besides D'Angelo isn't a 1-trick pony?

If a kid is scared of being yanked from the game if he messes up, he'll never be productive for you.

Marco messed up on both ends of the court today. But so did every other player.

True, but he just doesn't have the athleticism to be successful in a game like this against an aggressive opponent

This cracks me up. We got destroyed without him playing and youre telling me he couldnt play. But the guys that got desroyed they could play? We need guys on the court that can hit shots, Bourgault can do that. I'm tired about hearing things that he cant do when they guys out on the court are getting embarassed. Give the guy some PT. For Chrissakes

Let's be serious, he shouldn't be in the rotation.

Let be serious the same can be said for a lot of other guys.
Not like they are lighting the world on fire.

We have more than enough athleticism on the floor. Does Baylor sit Heaslip against athletic teams?

If the coaching philosophy is to stick Felix in there so we can play 4-on-5 on offense, then we're in some serious trouble.

Im sick and tired of hearing about athletes, we need PLAYERS! A player is a guy that knows when to take a shot, hit an open man with a pass and rotate on defense. The best player we ever had was no athlete he was a player.

Balamou?

The roster is flawed Tom. Felix I'm sure would be nice player in long run. But picking him over Marco isn't the answer. They each do things we need. But the problem is there are others ahead of them that are also one dimensional.

We agree. This team isn't good enough to play more than a 7 man rotation.
Too much of a drop off.
The 2 potential recruits are HUGE.

Yeah too bad they have 1 eye on the Association. So we can continue to have the revolving door effect. Not my cup of tea.

Why give out 13 ships if you only play 7 guys.

Im a big marco guy. Any of you guys ever have coach who puts you in the game just to look for a reason to take you out? Thats what lavin is doing to marco. It's a bad situation for a player whenever it happens, its worse when that player makes his bones as a shooter. Marco had a good string of games heading into bigeast play. I thought we were about to see him get 15-20 mins a game and be productive in that time. Unfortunately lavin screwed with him and now he cant get his head straight. I would like for lavin to just one time put marco in a couple different times a half. Not just 2 minutes than straight to the bench for the rest of the game. Shooters need to find a rythm. Lavins rotation makes that nearly impossible unless your name is Harrison.

Marco has been Lavin's "photo op" player. He used him and his Frenchman looks in the advertising campaign. In games, he plays very short cameo roles without dialogue. If, as a junior, he is THAT useless, why did Lavin burn a scholarship on him? Our "talent scouts" for our "role players" have a poor eye for talent. Time to change the scouts.

Oh thats your theory? Used him for photo ops and good looks.

See Jamal White in Time Square photos? Marco has same role in the "Nightmare on Union Turnpike" and sans dialogue.....pardon mon Francaise!

Marco Borgault is our Dwight Hardy, and Lavin does know it? I mean nothing for nothing, NR did not know what a prolific shooter DH was until Lavin began playing him 30 plus minutes a game.
Listen we need shooters, sombody who can put the ball in the f--kn basket. I would play Borgault 30 minutes a game. What do we have to lose at this point? Let's see what the kid can do!!!!

Marco has been too hesitant to shoot; I've been rooting for this kid. Haven't seen many picks set up for him. It seems that teams are aware of his shooting ability by overplaying him similar to the defense against Novak of the Knicks. He should the first off the bench against a zone defense.

He's hesitant to shoot because he has no space.
Why doesn't he have space? Because we don't run anything to free him up. And we don't dribble penetrate to draw defenders.

The team is just freelancing out there.
