March Madness

Complete joke that conferences like the MW, Pac 12 and Big East could all get 3 in. One of those is not like the others.

Question about Dayton Flyers

Can Dayton ever make the tournament and be put in the First 4? The games being in Dayton would give them a huge advantage. Teams can't play at home until a certain point in the tournament. Has this ever been brought up?

Ask and you shall receive.

Already happened 2015 Tourney. Dayton played Bouse as an 11 on their home floor.

Thanks. I barely pay attention to those games.

Clearly he's hurt. Right SJU fans?

That’s how you play with chips on the line. Gotta give it to SH.

Watching that Hall-Marquette game, I realized that we are definitely too hard on Mullin as a coach. Those teams were coached by 2 seasoned coaches, supposedly light years ahead of Mullin. Yet that game was an absolute disaster. Turns out what college basketball has become is rely on your stars to make plays. Our players (outside of Simon) didn’t step up last night and Markus Howard did. Myles Powell stepped up when he needed to and Markus Howard choked - that’s what that game came down to.

I’m getting more skeptical by the minute as to whether we get in. But if we do, we need Ponds to remember how to take over games and for LJ and Heron to play under control, and for Marvin to maybe hit an open look now and then, and Simon to do his thing.

On another note, the big east officiating is a joke. And I feel terrible for the kids that play hard only to realize this is the referee show and not a basketball game. I’ve been disgusted with it all year and something needs to be done.

All of our fans whine about how we go one on one...that was literally every play by every team the last two days. Jay Wright let Booth dribble the ball into the ground one on one 10 straight possessions at the end.

Looks like we may have missed a good one between Dayton and Boise that year.

Well, he was in the tunnel getting his wrist attended to for quite a long time in the first half, so I would say yes.

Other then the second half last night, and about a 5 minute stretch of the Georgetown game, he has not looked like himself for a few weeks. They initially said hip pointer, but his wrist was obviously bothering him, too.

Results from today:

Who to root FOR/against on Friday:
*WISCONSIN over Nebraska- WISCONSIN won.
*VCU over Rhode Island- Rhode Island won.
*MICHIGAN ST over Ohio St- MICHIGAN ST won.
*LSU over Florida- Florida won.
*UCF over Memphis- Memphis won.
*BUFFALO over Central Michigan- BUFFALO won.
*VILLANOVA over Xavier- VILLANOVA won.
*KENTUCKY over Alabama- KENTUCKY won.
*PURDUE over Minnesota- Minnesota won.
*NEVADA over San Diego St- San Diego St.
*KANSAS over Wvu- KANSAS won.
*MARQUETTE over Seton Hall- Seton Hall won.
*WICHITA ST over Temple- WICHITA ST won.
*WASHINGTON over Colorado St- WASHINGTON won.
*OREGON over Arizona St- Arizona St won. EDIT: OREGON won.
*UTAH ST over Fresno St- UTAH ST won.

Pretty meh day at 9-7. If you went by Vegas odds, think the teams we wanted to win were favored in around 14/16 games. That said, not a disastrous day. Ohio St, Temple, Xavier and Alabama going down was important, as all were near us on Bracket Matrix. Hopefully Marquette can remain Q1/top 30 after their loss, but we'll see.

UPDATE: Oregon came back and won in OT, so overall record 10-6 good guys.
