Refs wouldn’t let Florida lose.
So now we have taken to blaming the refs for games we aren't even playing in? It's all just part of a vast world wide conspiracy against all things St. John's basketball. The ring leaders are the Russians, Hillary, Trump and Obama.

Zagoria is saying that was before Florida won, too (though it was after VCU lost).

Most bubble teams with the exception of Florida and maybe Alabama have already lost. Now it becomes a question of bid stealers. The more stealers the more bubble teams get picked off.

It feels like every game that has come down to the final minute this week has ended in disappointment. In other words, bubble teams are winning all the 50-50 balls.

Yup. Go Buffalo, and Rock Chalk Jayhawk tonight, just to name two.

At this point, may want to start getting a bit aggressive in our rooting interests... in other words, rooting against bubble teams like Arizona St and Utah St even if it may eventually lead to those conferences getting a bid thief (if Washington or Nevada don't win their tournaments). Utah St may be safe at this point, but Arizona St is still very much a bubble team. I'd say root against Arizona St.

Something for everyone to remember is that BM/Lunardi/etc is not gospel. Maybe the Committee has us solidly in at this point, even if there are a few bid thieves. Maybe they already have us on the wrong side of the bubble. Impossible to know.

Still think the Big East is going to lobby the committee to get us credit for that first Seton Hall win. And maybe even talk up the games we lost without Ponds/Heron. That type of credit could inch us forward just a bit more.

Nebraska trying to play it's way into the conversation. Beat Maryland yesterday, and just took the lead on Wisconsin with 10 minutes to go.

They probably have to win that tournament though, and it's still just a quarterfinal.

That would mean accepting we got robbed, which they never really did, right? Plus it's a fellow Big East team, so you run the risk of screwing Seton Hall's seed. Lot easier to lobby if it was a non-Big East opponent.

Can't talk up the games we lost because of Heron or Ponds missing. That just speaks to our lack of a serviceable bench, which is a recruiting fault. Xavier beat us with their leading scorer out.

The Seton Hall robbery is a vaild point.

I could see them lobbying the Hall game, especially since Seton Hall is safely in at this point. Wish they could retroactively change the outcome of the game and give us another Q1 win.

Hopefully the committee won't look into the fact we blew a 10 point lead with 6+ minutes remaining, thus allowing a chance for probably the most egregious call in the instant replay era.

MIdnight strikes for Cinderella team Nebraska, as Wisconsin survives, 66-62 (only a Nebraska three at the buzzer made it that close).
VCU upset by URI, not great for Johnnies.
We mentioned that a few hours ago, NC. It's not a good result for any bubble team, since the A 10 will now get two bids.

Unfortunately, Evans (VCU's best player) left the game very early with an injury. He is expected to be OK, though I don't discount the possibility that VCU is just saying that to avoid having their seed get massively reduced on Sunday.

Thanks and sorry for giving old news. I caught up with three old high school classmates I hadn't seen in over 40 years for lunch in NYC today (two Fordham grads & one Bonnie grad) and just heard about VCU loss from Bonnie grad via email as he is going to see Bonnies vs. URI tomorrow and is now hopeful of Bonnie NCAA miracle. Of course, I am rooting for Davidson to make it now.

Buffalo down 5 at the half. Things not breaking right so far. Let’s hope for a second half turnaround in Villanova and Buffalo games
