March Madness
St. John's fell a few spots on BM...

Now the final #11 seed. Florida 1 spot ahead of us, Ohio St 1 spot behind us. Root hard against both of them.

That performance last night really hurt us. Can't get blown out like that on our home court.
Florida and Ohio State are losing. But Rhode Island ensured the A-10 will send two, instead of only one as projected.

If there’s no other bid stealers we have like a 97% chance of getting in
That’s the thing, there will most likely be bid Steelers.
Atlantic 10 is now a Bid Stealer. Every one is a killer.

Yep, rough.

If Florida and OSU lose, though, I'll take it. VCU needed 3 while OSU and Florida likely need 1.

As I've mentioned previously, NET KILLS teams for getting blown out at home. NET was almost designed to completely work against us.

By contrast, our RPI is #52.

Look out, but now Florida may get a bid.

Honestly, give Ohio st and Florida a bid over us even if they both lose. At least they went down swinging

See, this is what kills us. Ohio St was down 21 with 4 minutes left. With under 10 minutes left, they cut it to 5. They lost by 7, but even when they lose, they tend to keep their NET in good shape.

This whole last few weeks of bubble watch have been a microcosm of our entire conference season. Up early and trying to hold on while seemingly not being able to do anything right (See seton hall, BE opener). Seems every game the we need has gone the wrong way, that last day of conference regular season was just brutal. If we do in fact miss out on the tourney I think a lot of could be pointed to finishing in 7th place. Even if tiebreakers worked our way and it was 5th it would look so much better. Of course to top it all off we did our selves absolutely no favors.

And just as I type this Florida hits an and1 3, plus LSU gets a T. Unreal hahah.

This is why I was asking if our BET games were considered home games. Winning at home to Depaul is not exactly earth shattering. Still think that beyond the raw numbers, the committee is going to give us bonus points (consciously or subconsciously) for being an NYC team that can draw relatively big viewership numbers. We'll soon see.

Back and forth in this Florida-LSU game. LSU just hit a big 3 to tie it with 13 seconds left, but Gators will have a chance to win it.

This Florida game is sickening. LSU is an absolute embarrassment. That said, we have nobody but ourselves to blame. I no longer feel good about our chances, I don't think we'll be sitting on Selection Sunday expecting a bid at this point. Maybe 50-50... at best. We'll see how the next couple days go.

Florida wins at the buzzer.

I know we probably don't deserve any breaks, but the odds of getting the amount of non-help we've gotten in other games lately has to be astronomical.

Yea we have no one to blame but ourselves but goodgod why do St. John’s fans have it so rough? Why did I decide to root for St. John’s In the elite 8 instead of Ohio state that night so long ago? Why does the mantra “everything that can go wrong will go wrong” translate loosely to “St. John’s basketball”? Why is jadakiss as hard as it gets?

You think you have it bad lol. If I had abandoned rooting for New Yorks team and decided to adopt UConn when I started going there, I could have celebrated 3 championships....

If you would have abandoned St. John’s for UConn then UConn would have deserved you lol. But while we’re sharing scars. I’ve been to 11 St. John’s games. They are 1-10. The first game I ever saw was the elite 8 loss. We have basically sucked since then. I’m almost positive a personal sacrifice might be the only remaining option.

I guess that this time of the year for an SJ fan should be dubbed March Sadness

This I agree with.

The only two pieces of bad luck historically comparable to an 8-10 BE team being on the NCAA bubble and perhaps not being able to replicate a 2011 UCONN run to the NCAA's are the Japanese being interned during WWII and 9/11.

Last 4 In per @ESPNLunardi :

St. John’s
Florida
NC State
TCU

Edit- just noticed this was before Florida win
