Loyola (Maryland), Tue. Nov. 6, 6:30p, FSN / 570 WMCA

With the amount of newcomers I expected to be disjointed on offense early. Heron is a wow player

The only way this team can score is from the foul line, why we continue to foul them is beyond me!

St. John's is as good as advertised, at least tonight. The Red Storm has a 37-18 lead on Loyola with 3:33 to play before halftime, paced by Ponds' 11, Heron's 10, Dixon's half-dozen off the bench, and a gang-rebounding mentality on defense. They're an active bunch so far. #SJUBB

I like Dixon so far. He’s quick and tenacious.

I hope a 20 plus point lead is good enough. And....holy crap, PONDS!
End this game by haldtime 46-23, first 5minutes of 2nd half outscore them by by 8 to go up by 31.
Then the subs +walkons come on.
SJU win by 20.
lol SJU got 2 extra pnts then I predicted, 48-23

They are doing what they have to do against an inferior opponent. The only negative is way too many fouls against this team.

I started following the box score with 7 minutes remaining and saw 8 TOs and said to myself, that's not good. Now we're at the end of the half and still 8 TOs. Much better.
