LoVett

Those on here should take it easy with just stirring the pot and playing mystery solver. Quit crying over literally nothing. His knee is injured, and they're taking it one step at a time. Keep your source lacking, nonsense TMZ crap to yourself. We have a winning basketball team at the moment and just landed a huge recruit, let's focus on that. Quit the drama.

Plus, if we lose tomorrrow, Lovett comes back, and we are on the bubble come Selection Sunday, the committee will take his injury in this game into account.

What will it mean? Too early to tell. But, a loss tomorrow could mean a little less in the eyes of the committee, potentially.

Can someone please fix the spelling of Marcus' last name on the thread title?

I’d be curious to know how Marcus injured himself. I’ve heard that he supposedly sprained his knee during the Advocare tournament, but I recall him playing all three games in full and did not see him go down with an injury.

This brings back bad memories of Daryl Hill’s knee issues during Norm Roberts’ tenure. That dragged on for two years and Hill was a shell of himself before he was finally shut down completely.

I’m hopeful this is different. Fingers crossed that if and when Marcus comes back, he’s pain free and at or near full strength.

Even if he did play he would not be at full speed being out for so long Like that staff is worrying about the player first Our other guard have to step up

LOL there is no conspiracy here. Comprehend what I wrote in my original post. I said either the injury is worse than originally thought (which it is if we was called day to day over a month ago) or something is up. It's apparent it was indeed the former. It isn't difficult to understand. If a player was a "gametime decision" for St Joes as also communicated by the staff, he would've traveled with the team and certainly wouldn't be moving his flight to LA up during expensive holiday travel season at the last minute. Not exactly a conspiracy, just basic common sense.

Hearing from last night that Marcus will be out until late January.
So maybe when one of the writers (Zagoria or Braziller) wrote it WOULDN'T be until January (apparently meaning December) what he really meant was February.

Bad news. By the Butler game? We could be 1 - 8 by then if Ponds is also injured and/or ineffective like yesterday. Anyone hear about his knee? Is he starting out day-to-day also?!?

Apparently, Zach tweeted that according to an SJU source, an MRI revealed no structural damage to Shamorie's knee and looks set to play Sunday. Great news!
