One of the keys to beating Louisville is not turning the ball over. SJU has been pretty good at not turning the ball over this year. Against Syracuse we made too many dumb passes and had too many turnovers in the first half and got behind and never could catch up. I like Greene as a player and he has done some good things for this team while playing out of positon as a point guard. But he drives me crazy, as he did against Syracuse with all his dribbling around the top of the key when moving the ball with quick passes is the way to get an open shot against that 2-3 zone. The did better in the second half by passing the ball inside but too many passes were picked off, so decision making has to improve. They are going to have to play smarter if they hope to compete against Louisville.

A win here will pretty much vault us into the NCAA tourney.....with a .500 finish. So boys, if you want to play in the Big Dance...heres your chance. Play with fire ( the whole game ), Play SMART ( good passes ), high percentage shots, make your free throws, play as a team going into a war.....You guys can do it !!!!! Come on Johnnies !!!!!!!!
There is one key to this game and that is for us to create easy points. The team did in in Lav's first year and from time to time this year. Offensive boards, open threes, fastbreaks of steals and blocked shots, secondary transition, etc. If we can't get those points we simply do not have a chance. Pitino could be stubborn enough to stay in man against us to let us hang around.

If we want to win this game, it's pretty simple. We need at LEAST 40% from 3 pt all game to hang and possibly beat them. We likely need something like 50% though because the way we are shooting now, we just can't keep up with them scoring wise. Good day from 3 we are in it...great day from 3 we can win it...typical bad day from 3 (18%, 28%, etc.) we lose it by 20.

look we are not beating louisville . i hope im wrong but not like likely. beat southflorida that will make us 8-6 . then in my opinion to make tourney the two games after that will tell the story pitt is a must win as well as providence. that will ake us 10-6 i think we lose to nortedame 10-7 then the marquette game is a play in game for us to make tourney . thats how i see it playing out 11-7 we are in 10-8 we are out unless we win two games in big east. any thoughts

but look at the bright side we will make the nit. no issue there 10-8 11-7 is a good season for us if we return everyone we will be maybe 12-6 13-5 the following year in the big east

also i dont want to hear people bashing me for saying we will lose tonight its just an opinion. like i said i really hope im wrong i just dont see it. but stranger things have happened. but i just see louisville as a wounded dog tonight they need this one badly they will be ready to put it to us hope were ready also. plus i saw no fire from hines the other day it was like he was going through the motions. i think lavin not being here hurts he might not be a great coach. but he does see to be able to motivate them. i dont see that with hines why not let keady do the job . anyone know why he wanted hines over keady
