Jesuit institution

Can't beat the weather

USD is a beautiful campus and a good school. Good luck to ME.

fwiw, Pharve called this yesterday and had made some other big proclamations about things to come this week.

San Diego v Queens?

OK, OK, I take back everything I said. This is a transfer I can understand.

Good luck Duke.

I have been to San Diego but not the campus.  Agree with you 100% regarding the weather

Even a blind squirrel can find a nut every now and again.  Pharve throws all kinds of crap out there and is wrong more often than he’s right.  By way of example, Pharve claimed he had a personal conversation with Moore who assured him that Moore was staying.

If it is good news, I hope Pharve's "big proclamations" are accurate and come to be.  If its bad news, well, not so much.

That guy is a joke.  He throws stuff at the wall and sees if it sticks.  He's been wrong a lot more than he's been right, he's a known twitter troll, he has multiple suspended accounts.  Any predictions he's made any of us could take a shot and probably have a better percentage of correct outcomes than he does.

With Earlington, he just picked the worst school on his list that he'd probably play the most at, which is exactly what Earlington did.  San Diego is the worst school on his final 4.  Anybody that follows basketball knew if he went to St. Bonaventure he'd play even less there, they are a pre-season top 25 team and returning a lot of guys.  So really he had a 1 in 3 chance of being right.

Exactly & on his Joel Soriano prediction, he probably heard all the St John “lean” rumors, ran with it, but if wrong, can reference $ changing equation or kid changed his mind.

Good luck to the Duke.  He was awesome and will be missed.

Im a heavy lean toward omar stanley being my Duke replacement.

I also just tweeted "Damn u mike anderson for not playing the duke 30 plus minutes a game."

It was then liked and retweeted by earlington's dad.  Im sensing some animosity on how things went down.  oh well.  Good luck to the Duke and hello Omar!

Not sure there is animosity. Twitter is notoriously misleading. Earlington came out and said he loved the staff, the school, and the style. But he wants to play more. I think he knows his role was likely off the bench, as a small ball 4/5. Nothing wrong with wanting to play more and all these kids think they should be playing more. Doesn’t mean there is animosity. Wish the Duke nothing but the best and hope he kills it out there next year.

O'mar was the odds-on favorite.  So we are changing your handle to Stanley Steamer?  The Earl of Stanwich?

Not surprising, every parent thinks their kid should be playing 30+ MPG and be headed to the NBA.  In an earlier thread when discussing Williams and Roberts parents being active and socializing with fans on twitter, a couple posters got mad at me because I said parents that do this is not my cup of tea, and I really don't like it.  And the reason for this is 99% of the time it ends badly.  Unless a kid starts all 4 years, is a great player all 4 years, and never has a bad game, fans are going to talk and discuss and it's not always positive, and parents/family members will always get in their feelings and it just becomes a toxic situation, and then if they transfer it ends up being a lot of bad blood and blocking.

We see that Williams dad right now, a lot of guys I seen him interacting with during the games has turned on him and vice versa.  I just seen Josh Roberts' Aunt arguing about false reports and people not knowing what's going on with her nephson.  Rasheem Dunn's uncle was just arguing with fans yesterday.  One of Moore's family members was arguing with fans the other day on twitter and taking shots at the staff for not letting Moore be himself, basically saying they told him to cut all the screaming and yelling out.   Fans is short for fanatics, most fans aren't going to hold back their thoughts and feelings about their team especially if they are playing bad, and parents of course are going to defend their kids, it's just a bad mix.

I’m telling you guys now. If Omar Stanley is a good player for us you posters will be seeing plenty of Omar gifs from the wire. I’m not playing either.

let Omar get a steal or block a shot.

Sorry to see him go also. I thought Mike Anderson's misuse of Earlington was a mistake on the coaches part. Earlington was a much better overall player than Cole and a more experienced played than Wusu.

I'm sure Earlington wanted to start over Cole. And he deserved to.
But he was a great spark off the bench. That production from the 2nd unit was key to our run.

Looking back Coles minutes and starting spot are the easiest to question, I wonder if him leaving came as a surprise.
