Kyle Anderson PG (UCLA)

Ucla playing texas right now. Seems like when drew isnt on the floor, kyle seems to run the offense. Still amazed at how slow the play seems to develop when he has it. But the kid sure can pass it. Looks like a total liability on defense against quick guard. I am still shocked they say shabazz is a number 1 overall pick. I know i have only seen him in limited time but i just dont see someone of such a high grade

I'd take Jakarr any day over Shabazz. Shabazz is not nearly the athlete some thought. In addition he put on the freshman 15 in about 2 months.

To be fair, Shabazz was unable to practice all summer due to 2 fairly serious injuries (an ankle and a shoulder). However I do agree. The Bruins are deferring to him on offense based on his high school rep. That deference should be going to frosh Jordan Adams, who's EARNED it on the court so far this year.

Adams has looked good. He's also not the fastest player. Reminds me a little bit of D'Lo actually because of his shooter tendencies and his build. Agree though, as I think he's the only thing keeping ucla together right now.

Worth a chance. Kid obviously has to control the weight, but he has talent. He destroyed us a couple of years ago in Pauley Pavilion.

When will he be eligible? Didn't he start the season this year?

Probably, the second semester of next season.

Plenty of time for him to get up to 500 pounds.

But in all seriousness, I think the kid has a world of talent. I hope he somehow manages to get down to 250 so he can play in the NBA.

Saw an interesting retweet by JR Smith last night.... "KyleAnderson5: College is all about tellin u what u like to hear then not following thru with it. Im not even gon trip"

Sounds like someone is a little disappointed with his decision. He is much more likely to go pro then transfer but it might be an interesting situation to follow considering Howland has to be on the hot seat if they don't go far this season.

Because Larry Drew is playing PG than KA ever hoped he would.

I'm tired of KA and KA Sr who thinks his kid is entitled to something he hasn't earned. UCLA has performed better with Drew at PG and they're actually winning right now. Going on twitter to take veiled shots at your coach is lame.

I love how eloquently KA put it. "not even gon trip". Isn't it maddening how uneducated many of these guys are even when they attend some of the most prestigious colleges in America? Obviously basketball is the reason they are there, but I wish they could at least understand the English language while at a school like UCLA.

UCLA isn't a college, it's a university :).
Just playing joe, and yes it can be maddening but it's the culture today.

Maybe they're making him go to classes.

I will never forget the basketball player next door I used to know offering me 50 bucks to write his paper for one class and to do another online class for him in its entirety. This is where he is todayhttp://lancersblog.com/2012/02/04/jeremiah-bowman-suspended/

The idea of student-athletes at the D-I level is a joke. At best, it's extremely wishful-thinking. For every God'sgift, there are 100,000 Jeremiah Bowman's.
