Kyle Anderson PG (UCLA)

i don't have a good feeling about this.

Honestly, this is the first time in this particular recruitment where I'm also starting to have some doubts. I'm also starting to feel kinda sorry for the kid.

I'm not knocking what the Hall fans did last week (tonight was certainly overkill and borderline abhorrent).... But, they have placed tremendous pressure on the lad. Tremendous!

Will he feel compelled to go there or will it turn him off in the end?

Forget a few Hall fans at a hs game. Pretty sure this is the type of love Kyle needs.

 How's this for Halldan's comparison.

Seton Hall vs St Anthony's HS.

Better coach: advantage St anthonys....Hurley a ton better resume' than Willard.
Tradition: advantage....St anthonys. Long standing history of excellence
Exposure: tie but leaning St A's favor. Will Kyle really get more exposure while at the Hall than now?
Roster: St anthonys. Miles Mack and others, methinks St A's roster is probably stronger than SHU.
Religious affiliation: tie...both catholic

I could keep going but it might get ugly. When your current HS wins the comparo against a potential college destination, I think it's time to rethink... ;-)

i thought i read somewhere that kyle has been going to seton hall games since he was nine. i know roberts recruited players who said st john's was their "dream school" only to go elsewhere.

willard turned iona around. he's a good coach. i don't have a good feeling about this.

Look, if this 5 star recruit has been a Hall fan since nine and attends their games and the Hall is his "dream school" then he may not be the big time player SJ needs. I want a kid who thinks he can be a star at Kentucky, Duke, UNC, Uconn and not a player who is happy to play in Newark and attend a school with zero facilities.

Yeah. Kinda like Larry Bird ending up at hometown Indiana State. Probably not the "big time player SJ needs" back then... :)

This kid is special. He'll be special wherever he ends up. I think he's a far better prospect than Gordon Haywood, and that worked out for Butler - a program that at the time made Seton Hall look like Syracuse.

Actually, his "dream schools" growing up were UNC and G'town. Honestly, I like a kid who would rather be a star at a lower-tier school rather than the Kentucky's, Duke's, UNC's and Uconn's of the world. It's kinda easy to choose those schools.

He's certainly a big-time player, and garnering his services to go along with our 2011 class could catapult us to a national title.

Larry Bird is the perfect example of a great player who went to a big time school only to find out it wasn't for him and the result of his decision to leave Indiana speaks for itself. There are a myriad of factors that should go into this kind of decision if one is deciding intelligently and most of them are just ignored by fans if they refuse to look at the situation objectively.

You people forgot how quickly we were begging for the one star to stay home under Roberts and we were always at a disadvantage and we were praising the kid who would stay home and turn the program around. Now you are knocking the kid if he wanted to do that for the Hall?

This is the same case with Kyle and the Hall. If he chooses them, he would be the savior of the program just like Harkless will hopefully do for us.

Quickly how we have rose colored glasses when it comes to the team you root for vs. other schools.

This point is SOOOOO true its scary.

You would think what the fan base dealt with under Norm Roberts would gives us a better appreciation of where we stand now.

Its amazing how arrogant some of the fans have become in such a short period of time.

That photo was taken at a high school basketball game? It pretty much looks like every bowling alley i have ever been in.

Happy Lanes! Open Monday thru Satruday, Sunday only the bar is open. 1/2 price games if you remember voting for Franklin Roosevelt, free games if you remember voting for Teddy Roosevelt!!! LOL!!!

Sorry but I urge you to find me a fan base (winning or losing) who DOESNT act that way. Its not happening. Its sports. Love it or hate it. Can't change it.
