Kyle Anderson PG (UCLA)

Quickly how we have rose colored glasses when it comes to the team you root for vs. other schools.

This point is SOOOOO true its scary.

You would think what the fan base dealt with under Norm Roberts would gives us a better appreciation of where we stand now.

Its amazing how arrogant some of the fans have become in such a short period of time.

Didn't like being there at the time and don't have sympathy for others there. It's a problem caused by brainless administrations. Just because we were there doesn't mean anybody should have felt bad for us nor that we should feel bad for them.

Sorry but I urge you to find me a fan base (winning or losing) who DOESNT act that way. Its not happening. Its sports. Love it or hate it. Can't change it.

I think our fan base is actually pretty tame.

Heck! I, once went to an Atlanta Falcons message board and you would've thought you were on a Pittsburgh Steelers or New England Patriots site. Mind you, this is a franchise who just had their first back-to-back winning season in 2009.

It happens.... You're gonna have some folks (and, I noticed pmg highlighted "some") who are gonna be over-the-top and feel their 'ish doesn't stink. Like I stated, I think the majority of our fan base is even keeled.

Half of our fans are so ancient they don't have the energy to be anything other than even-keeled. :cheer:

Not sure how the KA thread got locked over at JJ and I haven't seen it addressed here but my Twitter feed from 17 minutes ago says "Not sure where the apodaca tweet is coming from. Everyone around @KyleAnderson5 including Kyle himself, says he hasn't decided"

Not sure why it was locked, either. Maybe, they thought the fans were gonna go nuts. I believe most of our fans will be classy about it, if he doesn't end up at St. John's. Hopefully, he still end up in Queens.

Only four more days....

there's this from espn...."I want to know if i dont choose SHU will i still be able to come to all the games i been going to them every year since i was 9 lol," he wrote. "I love everything about SHU tho being a pirate will be great tho!! I hate wen ppl tell me not to go there."

has anyone at sj been badmouthing sh to kyle? i recall some kentucky fans telling him he should stay away from ucla because of howland's slowdown O, and he took the time to answer back "false".. he doesn't like being told or any false trashing, apparently.

and then there's was this http://coast2coastrecruiting.net/tag/ucla/

Just a thought. if KA he was leaning toward SH or UCLA do you think the the loss of our 3 recruits gives him the idea of more playing timeand bring him to us

Honestly I think he would get all the playing time he wanted here anyway, but these players being ineligible shouldn't effect his decision at all. He is still going to be playing with some crazy talented kids.

top 5 elites don't think about pt, they know they'll get it no matter where they go. however if you think of this as a neck and neck race, then anything perceived as a negative is never good. might not hurt,,,,but never good.  as some posters and media are already viewing this as a negative against lavin, then well,,,,,,,

What I'd be more worried about is the defection of SU and Pitt will have on KA's decision. It might be viewed by him (as it has by some sportswriters) as the demise of the BE?

You do realize that both Pitt and Syracuse are doomed to play in the Big East for the next TWO YEAR? Kyle Anderson will be putting a hurt on both schools in 2012-13.

then why go to Seton Hall?

But it doesn't matter.

If SU and Pitt will be here for 2 or 3 more years, neither they not KA will be around to see what the new league looks like.

ok out of assumption subtracting Gtown on the grounds of...?? He's just not going to G-Town  and Seton hall because he wants to win were left with FLA,UCLA and SJU. Both FLA and UCLA have a plethora of point guards already there as well as a few on the way. ( including an additional juco point guard I just found out UCLA has coming in too)  If KA is gonna commit based on what he said which was .."playing time at the point" then sju should be his clear cut choice. But then of course that would just be to good to be true now wouldn't it. Real question is who does lavin reach for if KA heads elsewhere?

It really comes down to this. Nobody offers him as many of the things he and his family said were important to him as St John's does:

Elite Staff, Elite conference, Elite talent around him, Play PG, Play in front of Family, etc.

That doesn't mean he's going to end up coming here, but it HAS to put us in the discussion.

It will be interesting to see which school he finally chooses.

Until today, I have been in the camp that I want KA to go anywhere but Seton Hall becasue I've really been turned off by how their fans have handled this whole recruiting saga.

But now I've changed my mind. After the events of the past two days (SU, Pitt and now likely Uconn headed to ACC) I want him at SJU, Georgetown or Seton Hall.

We are going to need all the star power we can get in whatever new basketball conference we all end up in.

What is good for one of us is good for all of us at this moment in time.

  Totally agree

makes sense but with KA or not, and I repeat again I want KA, our staff will fill the roster with very good talent. There are no ifs or buts about that.
