The best Seton Hall fans should hope for is its current staff cleans things up and recruits good kids. Then in about four or five years, they can hire a head coach who can compete with the top level coaches in the BE. Until then, they will be a bottom four conference team, and the number two team in NJ.

Just curious... taking KA recruitment away from this for a moment... tell me your depth and understanding of the Seton Hall staff..? why do you give Mike Rice & Rutgers so much respect and none to Seton Hall guys.?

Do you think Rutgers will be better than SHU this year.?

Imho, Willard will prove to be a better bench coach than Rice. He just won't have the horses for a while.

 Good one Moose. One thing to remember, coach doesn't hang around any recruit unless he truly believes there's a good chance of that recruit joining him. Of course, the higher up the rankings chain one goes, the more you want to stay in it.

But the staff will sell itself - I cannot go against the strong logic of the great fit for Kyle. We are fortunate to be in such a position.

But yeah, let's throw in the towel! lol
 
Rice is going to turn off players with his poor-man's Bobby Knight persona.  

SHU fans should hope Willard is a coaching wiz. Because his personality is as vanilla as it gets.

A couple of things:

1. Seton Hall didn't pay top dollar for coaching, so they did not get a top eight level staff imo. Willard may turn out to Pitino, but, as MainMain mentioned, he isn't exactly going to take over a room with his personality. Especially when he is competing against big name coaches.

2. I do not like Rice one bit. He will turn kids off with his constant screaming and crazy eyes. I would rather Seton Hall win recruiting battles from Rutgers, than the other way around.

3. Unfortunately, I think Rutgers will be better than Seton Hall this year.

Wondering if the Baron Davis thing backfired. Seems like ever since he told Kyle to listen to his heart (or words to that effect), the kid's been Seton Hall Tweet happy. Wish he would've told him to listen to his brain.

 i.e., Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde? Joking aside, he handled that well. I wonder how he'll handle his young talented bunch's growing pains this season. The jury is still out on him. I'll be watching more closely this season.
