Actually this is showing how smart Lavin actually is.

Think about it. He's using a UCLA grad who is in the pros to come out to OUR OWN CAMPUS and speak to a player we are going head to head with your own school.

Have to completely agree with mjm on this one.
 
 i'D be shocked if he chooses anyone other than st. john's or seton hall. Do not really see him going too far away from home. In the end it will be sju because kyle will be sorounded with talent. He would slip right into the drivers seat and help take us to the next level.

I hope he doesn't go to either of our Big East competitors, but I really hope he doesn't go to the Hall. Many of their fans have acted like **insert the vulgar term of the male genital** for the past few months. It's gotten worse the closer to Anderson's announcement date. Abominable-like behavior towards St. John's fans. It just goes to show that anyone can act like a jerk behind a computer.

I've always wanted to land this kid due to his skills and IQ. I want to land him even more to shut the pie holes of the Hall fans.

I'm with you, for a while I thought it would be cool for him to go there if not St. Johns but now i have no sympathy for them. All I care about now is him landing here and if it doesn't happen, best of luck to him and his team and time to move on and continue to improve by bringing in anther elite talent

Would love to get KA for a multitude of reasons but if we don't I really don't care where he goes provided it isn't the Hall. The way their fans have behaved they don't deserve to get him.
 
 Yes agree would love to have him.However,if we do not would not get upset I like our recruits and feel many will be just as productive and one or two maybe better. The drama of his recruiting is a pain at times . If slo-mo decides we are not for him(which I think would be detrimental to his developement) than I wish him well
 
 Bottom line is that if this kid choses SHU over a stacked deck of soon to be seasoned sophomores to play with he's nuts. His own legendary HS coach believes this to boot. UCLA is more a family matter that he has to deal with. Then again I went to a commuter school and my kids stayed close to home too without regrets. Unless he likes to surf the new SJU is the place.

His own legendary HS coach thinks nothing of the sort, at least not publicly. He spoke of the unique advantages / appeal of all of KA's choices; not just SJU.
 
 He said he thinks we have a terrific roster. That's good enough for me. That's all I was referring to and I really don't care what he said about the other options. WE are the only option which had the TOP 3 recruiting class this year but thank you for trying to rain on the parade as always.

Not raining on anything; just trying to keep the situation in proper context. I love SJU basketball and would be thrilled to see KA here but that doesn't mean I'm going to turn into a cheerleader or ignore the facts. And for the record your post reads like Hurley said KA would be nuts if he picked SHU over us and that is just not true. If I misinterpreted your post, I apologize.

The SHU fans sound like us every time Norm got close with Syl, Stephenson, etc... Don't blame 'em.

Never rule out the allure of playing under the the bright lights (from police cars?) of beautiful downtown Newark, New Jersey.

UCLA historically is probably the best basketball school, Florida has won a national championship, Seton Hall is the hometown team, Georgetown has a system that fits his talents. Just saying you can make a case for any team how ever I agree, NYC and STJ is the only place for him
