Knicks

Hopefully Dolan sees the price of the Lakers and gets it in his mind to sell Knicks/Rangers/MSG with the market this high. Obviously, it would take an astute businessman to recognize the price that can be garnered at the peak of the market, something that Dolan is not. It is the only hope for the teams to return to championships.
Brooklyn Red, I don't get these sports teams valuations, there is no way they can generate enough EBITDA or free cash flow to justify the price.

Crazy, no other business would these multiple of earnings be used.

Finally an article with actual reasonable criticisms of Thibs. As much of a fan of his as I am, the points in the article are absolutely worthwhile.

I remain of the opinion that (a) roster construction with Towns as the 5 (not to mention loss of chemistry) was as much of a factor as any of Thibs reluctance to adjust - in part because he didn't have a lot of options to go to to make adjustments; and (b) he is still a better coach than anybody they are likely to wind up with.

But totally reasonable criticisms.

Terrible haliburton achilles injury in game 7 of the finals. Hate to see that.

Can’t be the only one who thought about what it means for the Knicks next year though

I just hated to see that. He is a helluva player and they are a helluva team. Rooting for them and their great coach. And by the way anyone who thinks they don’t play defense in the NBA just chooses not to watch

It's more of a playoff thing

Thought the most impressive part of tonight’s game was the defense played by Indiana by everyone on their team. Didn’t think it was a particularly well played game by either team and the stat that told the story was OKC’s advantage in turnovers 23-8. While McConnell is no Halliburton got to give him credit for the way he played tonight especially in the third quarter.

James Borrego mentioned as an option.

The context on Kidd makes the idea of waiting on him make more sense.

“There has been nothing regarding Kidd and an extension in Dallas to this point. Furthermore, Dallas did not extend the contracts of Kidd’s assistant coaches after the franchise made it to the Western Conference finals last year. Kidd is going to lose his longtime assistant Sean Sweeney to the San Antonio Spurs, league sources confirm to The Athletic. Other top Mavericks assistants, Jared Dudley and God Shammgod, have received interest from rival ballclubs, per league sources, and have contracts that expire on June 30, which is also when Sweeney’s deal is up.”

Dallas not extending any of his assistant coaches after the WCF two years ago, and still not today, is very weird. I’m happy to see the idea of him coming here isn’t simply “wait for him to get mad”
