Knicks

Sounds like the Knicks are also moving to get Jordan Clarkson. That’s two bench pieces I really like. Clarkson isn’t perfect but they needed a microwave scorer type off the bench

Yabusele is decent player off the bench.

Of course, the Knicks love French forwards and it has worked out so well in the past…😖

Myles Turner just went to the Bucks. Weakens Pacers. Solid move by Bucks.

this upcoming year is interesting, with the Celtics/pacers both missing their superstar, everyone might see it as an opportunity to go all in if you’ve been “good” in the east.

Orlando goes and gets Bane
Bucks grab Turner, weakens pacers
Knicks get Yabusele, weakens Sixers depth

Knicks have to feel like they have the roster to get to the finals right now. I wish Thibs was still here to see it through

The coaching search is a mess and all, but I LOVE this move

Agree - absolutely love Yabusele who can back up quite capably at the 4 and 5. Clarkson clearly a huge upgrade over Cam Payne. I just wish at this point they’d give the keys to Borrego who showed potential in Charlotte despite getting canned.

I think FO did a great job with Clarkson and Yabu. They have room for a rookie left, so I'd assume it goes to James Nnaji -- who can't be worse than Sims. I also don't think the FO does these moves with Thibs as HC -- two offensive-first guys, and now Huk is the only defensive center behind Mitch.

If we get Mike Brown with Borrego as top assistant, then I'm content.

dk, You are highlighting the problem. Shouldn’t we have a Coach so they can align and all be on the same page for what the Coach is trying to run? Whole thing just seems ass backwards.

Process-wise, its indefensible at this point. And as someone who is totally fine with Thibs getting fired because of process more than results, I'm not gonna defend the FO for the result of this as well.

You'd hope they consulted with any of these coaches before free agency, but who knows. Its definitely nutty.

Agree. I wanted them to sign him last year. Very useful player. I wonder if this portends Mitch and Mikal going somewhere for something - they also picked up the option on Huckporti (who also like) so they are getting deep at the 5 or 4/5.

Mitch is so injury prone, I think you need the extra depth

Mitch is a polarizing player. His defense and rebounding are needed. On the other hand he is borderline unplayable down a game stretch with his free throw shooting issue. He is also one misstep from injury. Not sure what to do with him.

Plus Mitch is an UFA after this upcoming season so there is that because I am not sure if they will extend him (or Bridges, who is in the same contract situation).

Sources tell ne Leon Rose and Mike Brown are both in the Building at MSG today. Appears to be a done deal with Borrego as his top assistant.
