Knicks

Knicks with 2 in a row after their dreadful losing streak!! Big west coast trip coming up for them. These west coast trips often show you if a team is for real or not. RJ can't hit threes but god damn he fights. I love his passion. He wants to be great so badly. He's gonna keep working.

the 7-8 Knicks currently hold a playoff spot. Keep it rolling

guess the knicks aren't as good as the 4 game winning streak. Indicated and not as bad as the 5 game losing Indicated.

Did anyone see end of previous blowout win over the Celtics. I know it was garbage time at the end but Dennis Smith was put in and in the final few minutes he put up 3 of the ugliest jump shots I have ever seen. He was a top 10 draft pick after a great freshmen year at NC ST, seemed to have a lot of talent and it's a real mystery as to why he has been so terrible the last few seasons at least to me.

I coudln't believe that was him.. He looked in the same shape as Harden less the talent.

Career high 28 from RJ Barrett and the Knicks start off the road trip with a W!

Obi Toppin starting to find his stride. Him and Quickley holding down the second unit is fun. The starting unit is playing great and then we get to see the rooks come in and run the second unit. The Knicks are extremely fun right now... I can't believe I'm saying that

I know it's really early in their careers.
But I have to ask this.
Did... did the Knicks actually draft well this year?

Fun game last night. Fell asleep 3rd quarter but glad they pulled it out

Julius Randall whom many were down on and thought wouldn't be here long term has really dedicated himself to improving and has been playing terrific basketball. Has had numerous triple doubles or near TDs.

Totally agree and I was one of the many. He has been a different player this year.

Thibs was a genius hire for this team because the roster is full of players who want to work hard every day. If you give him that, he will find ways to put you in positions to succeed.

I've listened to some basketball podcasts with insiders who talk about RJ Barrett, and say he is an absolute freak about basketball. He wants to win and succeed more than anything. He's wired a specific way that not every young player comes into the league like. A lot of these kids are just happy to be here and making money. RJ is not like that.

I love that about him. People gotta remember he didn't get a full rookie year it got cut short because of Covid. He's still figuring things out. He looked extremely comfortable last night.

Still has plenty of time to improve outside shot and free throw shooting which he seems to be doing and if he does become a viable 3 point threat watch out because he has an uncanny nack for drivinf to the basket and converting around the rim and on the break.

Passing of a cult hero among Knick fans of that generation. RIP Harthorne!
Wingo provided value, no?  He wasn't just a stiff with a funny name.

Wingo was very much a bit player on the second Knicks 2nd champion team; the one year he played a lot was 74-75, when he averaged 7 points and 6 rebounds in 21 mpg on a .500 Knicks team. That was the year he became a cult hero in NYC after playing about 10 mpg in 73-74 .

Tough end to the road trip but Knicks have some winnable games coming up.

Barrett 7-11 shooting tonight. And 3-3 from downtown.

really liking what I'm seeing from him lately. I think they need to go to him more. Relying a little too much on randle. Need randle to be fresh late in games so have to lean on some of these other guys at other points. More RJ

I was not expecting playoffs. My only hope was that we would see a marked improvement from the young guys. The development of Randle has really surprised me. If Barrett can consistently be the 2nd option and Quickley/Toppin/Knox/Robinson develop, I would consider this season a success.

agreed. We are getting there with RJ. IQ is gonna be very good as well. Knox is hitting his corner 3s at a surprising rate but he still is struggling to find minutes in the rotation.

Obi is the tough one. He was injured for a bit so he's still getting his feet wet, but as of now he looks a little lost out there. Hopefully he can find his footing. I've seen some Knicks fans on twitter who are being pretty impatient with him because he's 22 as opposed to these one and dones in the draft. He's still young and he's still adjusting to the NBA, have to give him time.

it's hilarious to me how if you're a 3-4 year college player now, nba people talk about you like you're a dinosaur. He's still only 22 lol people need to relax

They're still a team that has too many empty quarters, or halves, like last night. They'd be over .500 if they could solve that issue.
