Keeping Up With Old Friends Thread

He played the first game and was injured afterwards. The last game I watched them, he was on the bench in “street warmups sitting next to Bronny James who was dressed the same way. This was obviously before James was cleared to play.
Update on Brandon Gardner, he has been out since the first game of the season with an injury to his right foot. I don’t know what type of injury but it has been enough to keep him in street clothes.

Unrelated but Charles Barkley nicknamed Anthony Davis Street Clothes last year 😂

Here is where I disagree. By being a menace to himself, Fraschilla was a menace to the program.

He tried to get a new contract (after a year) by having his agent float rumors that Texas was interested in him. His personality would never allow him to build a program.

They lost the first round NCAA game to Detroit Mercy because he was wound way too tightly.
The loss to Detroit, in the NCAA, and the contract blow-up was after Fran's second year.

Yaxel Lendeborg with 23, 15 and 7 blocks vs UTSA tonight. What a find by whoever it was that found him last year
Had this game on my computer during our game. Kid has excellent timing, long arms and big hands to block shots. Can handle, pass and shoot. What's not to like? Followed him on Facebook since he was a recruit of ours and he seems like a real nice humble kid.

Does he have a year of eligibility left after this season?

From the January 3, 2004 article ”Dunlap Motors Storm to Win” in Newsday:

“Alexander was one of the handful of members of the 2022-23 team who Pitino invited back but instead chose to enter the NCAA transfer portal and made the move to Butler.

“I didn’t leave with bad intentions or bad blood — I just left because I wanted [a change of] scenery,” Alexander said. “Rick Pitino is a great guy and a great coach. . . . It was nothing personal.”
