Sometimes transfers take a while to acclimate to a new team, coach and program. Or does that only apply to the kids who transfer IN?

The failings of this year were caused by and large by the failings last March and April to keep a promising team together.

Looks like Greg & the Raging Cajuns will play in the Sun Belt Final - Greg with 15 points in semifinal. Good for him, such a great kid by all accounts.

1000%. When May 1, 2021 came around we were way behind the 8 ball once again. The sum of the departures was much greater than the sum of the additions notwithstanding what we were told or what we allowed ourselves to believe. And as I posted earlier we all read the rave reviews given about Wheeler and Wusu last August which turned out to be more bs.
you have 4 full time coaches and other paid staff members, it can’t be that difficult to stay in good contact with a total of 12 players especially after the season ends when there are no games and no travel. Had any of Williams, Dunn, Earlington, Moore or Cole returned we would not need a miracle to dance this season. It was evident after year 1 that no one plays harder than Posh and as a result he is injury prone. A returning ball handler with experience like Dunn or Williams was needed and in fact they were greatly needed and missed this season and both had made very good strides under CMA, there was no reason for either player to leave. If staff new that Cole would bolt, that Moore would leave , which they had to have known, well then there was no reason for Earlington to leave, the added minutes were there for the taking for Earlington who also had improved greatly under CMA. Total mismanagement on the part of the staff, especially knowing they are not strong recruiters.
Heaven forbid the same crap happens again this off season , because once again if the core group returns intact we can win 20 plus next season.
As others have said before me a big “if”.

It’s true Posh is injury prone. Have to have a good backup. We got unlucky w Pinzon taking so long to recover from Covid.
Also factoring in Wheelers age, I think he goes pro overseas unless geopolitical factors preclude it and I really want him to return.
If there’s another mass exodus, I think the school is going to have to take a hard look at CMA,.

Williams has played well in the conference tournament. Final against Georgia State tonight at 7pm on ESPN2. Pulling for him.

Come on Greg give me somethin to root for two weekends from now.

McGriff with the game clinching bucket yesterday as Binghamton upset the 3-seed New Hampshire.  Now it's on to be destroyed by Vermont in the semis, but a good run nonetheless.

Greg’s La team trailing Georgia St at half by 9 in Sun Belt Tourney Final. Greg having a quiet half. Former SJ recruit Jordan Brown impressive with 14 points for La.

Williams fouls out in the last minute of the game. His team loses, 80-71. Finishes with 15 points.

Williams played ok in the game. Played off the ball, went 3-6 from three and grabbed five rebounds. Not a big impact during most of the game. Looks like he never fully recovered from his injuries.

No way we could have used a guard who takes multiple threes and shoots 50% from three this season.
Its a good thing Greg transferred out.

And a big positive on the defensive end.

sounds good on paper, but he was never healthy or impactful on any consistent basis here.  Too bad.
