I believe Jones graduated in three years.
Impressive considering he enrolled in second semester at DePaul and transferred after 1.5 years. Then played one season at SJU. I know athletes cram in summer course work but students also miss out on credits when transferring.I believe Jones graduated in three years.
I don’t remember seeing Jones was cleared as a 2 time transfer but good for him if true.
Good for Jones. Seemed like a nice kid, even if a horrible fit for a Pitino team. Wish him well. This team has dark horse final four written all over it if Penny proves he can coach and not just recruit talent.
If they are relying heavily on Jones as an offensive engine on the wing, then I think Penny will still show a lot left to be desired. This team has dark horse final four written all over it if Penny proves he can coach and not just recruit talent.
Walton is that guy. Jones is the 3rd or likely 4th option on that team, which is perfect for him given his skillset. I'll be rooting for him.If they are relying heavily on Jones as an offensive engine on the wing, then I think Penny will still show a lot left to be desired.

His rebounding instinct is incredible. A little shot happy, but I think he reins it in with other weapons at Memphis.A little guidance from the staff would have went a long way with DJ. Kid is talented.
Tough to judge by exhibitions. Like Jones, Alleyne was our leading scorer in preseason. I think they both end up conceding points to other teammates. We certainly could have used him this year.I’m focused on SJU so don’t pretend to know everything about Memphis but this is from 7 days ago
David Jones turning into Tigers’ top option
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – It’s just one game, and an exhibition game at that, but if you’re looking for a guy to lead this new look Tigers basketball team, it might just be newcomer David Jones.…wreg.com
Brando was right !!AJ Storr started for Wisconsin last night, Fifteen points on 6-13 shooting in 24 minutes. Davind Jones also went for 15 for Memphis in 25 minutes, but did have 5 turnovers. Kolby King went for 22 for Tulane, played 35 minutes and shot 8-11 including 4 for 7 from three.
He might be more confused now that Storr and King aren't on the same team since he couldn't tell them apart.Brando was right !!
