Keeping Up With Old Friends Thread

Dylan took a lot of grief from our fan base but he can play on my team anytime. One of the few guys, along with Joel, who didn't spend half the time tuned out from the coaching staff. He'll thrive with Holloway imho.
Yeah just don’t have any team managers around that he can sucker punch and knock out cold.

“The things that Dylan brings into a locker room are toughness and he’s going to hold guys accountable, because he’s going to work his (butt) off every day in practice,

Wasn’t this the opposite of what was going on last season? Wasn’t that what Father Shanley saw when he showed up at practice? Didn’t he punch an equipment guy or something?
Lack of accountability from the head coach trumped Wusu’s toughness and leadership.

Not privy to what went on in the locker room, but watched virtually every game last year and I never saw anything from Wusu but 100% effort and always seemed attentive to coaches during timeouts which was unusual most of last year. Completely understand if he was not welcome back due to off court issue, but can only go by what I see on the court. Shoes Vetrone certainly sounds like he appreciated Wusu.

Shamorie Ponds remains one of the biggest what if's to me in SJU history. Listened to the wrong people, and had some awful influences in his ear when it came time to decision making.

There's more to the story, but the way things have gone since SJU, hoping he can figure it out and get some consistency. His offensive talent was never a question

Maybe he missed the most important reason he's at Butler. Posh is the biggest reason he isn't here.

I love Posh but come on man. D'Angelo took all the responsbility for his own actions and in process the boy became a man, and a damned good one.

I hope Posh tears it up at Butler.

I'm at a restaurant a couple of miles from Fort Bragg tonight, and liistening to some chatter of a couple of servicemen at the next table, couldn't be prouder of the men and women who protect freedom - here and abroad.
