Kadary

Every single time he takes it to the lane in the second half, it’s a good play. I don’t care what anyone says.
When he does that and he’s fouled can we elect to take the ball out of bounds or a jump ball maybe??

Let’s cool it with the patented Marillac extreme statements. As DK said driving into 3 people isn’t a good play. Unless of course he shot like Dlo from the FT.

Now I close again on positive. He adds a lot on the court with passing rebounding and half court defense.

Calm. That's a good self-description of how he plays. Smart is the other. He doesn't have to be the go-to guy here so his production is down. But I see and appreciate the subtleties in his game seeing him night in and night out.

I’ve warmed up to Moose’s assessment of Kadary and certainly know he can make plays when you need it most. Unorthodox, loose with ball at times, but can make winning plays at both ends & effective when in touch with his limitations.

Kadary had a terrific game last night. His hands are very quick and his defensive positioning was good. I'm glad to see that his confidence is back and he attacked the rim. He's not a perfect guard, but in Pitino's team concept he fits well.

One thing he seems to be doing is passing up 3 point shot opportunities, being a limitation of his.

Wrong...
 ALWAYS trumps total stats IMHO.

Winning is the only stat that really matters.

Yankee teammates in his career said Rizzuto always came though in little and big ways when it mattered.

Rick is well armed with the Khadary bullet in his pistol in big moments.
He has been playing better but I literally cringe when he shoots from anywhere on the court. Have been pleasantly surprised his mid range shots have been going in as of late so that is nice but would still rather a bunch of guys take a big shot over him.

Richmond game would truly take off if we had two or three consistent shooters. It'll open up the lane for him as he can practically get by anyone and to his spot with his crafty handle and unique style of play.

Here is the thing with our shooters.
I love Scott and has nice touch from line but shoots a push shot and outside of Steph Curry I never trust a push shot. I never have a clue even when leaves his hands of going in.

I sort of have confidence with Luis three only because he has so much confidence, but his three form is different from his form inside the line. And again no idea it is going in or not until it does or doesn’t.

When Smith has his feet set I feel like it should go in. Drifts too much though probably because jumps so high on his shot.

Wilcher shot looks good right until it doesn’t go in.
Same with Glover.

I am surprised Kadary has ever hit a three.

Point being I am mostly surprised whenever we make a three.

The stats obviously agree w you

Well, being objective, the last few games he has made a recognizable amount of big baskets, including opponent momentum halting one’s. I have ripped him as much as anyone, did not want him on the team frankly, but he has very much proven to me he is far from afraid of big moments and when he has gone for it has produced more than he has failed. Have seen and played with all kind of 35 minute gunners who clam up when the $ is on the line, he is not that, closer to the direct opposite.

Look at the Kadary love-fest that has developed as folks have seen more of him and his game. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

I agree with Dink, part of Kadary's problem is that we have too much traffic in the lane and not enough outside shooting to open it up. If you give Kadary a more open lane, he is unstoppable to the rim.

I agree with Larry Wright in his assessment of the shooting form of everyone he described, including Kadary from range. Until the staff messed with his form his midrange was very reliable, and it's coming back some percentage-wise now.

And I agree with Logen that he is a guy who produces in the clutch and wins games for you when winning time arrives.

That's without getting into the many things he does that don't show up on the stat sheet and the remarkable degree of unselfishness in his game.

If you wanna see highlight-reel dunks, long-distance 3s, and someone who shows his emotions on the court instead of staying even-keeled all the time no matter how big the moment is, he is not the guy for you, I get that. But if Moose AND Paultz AND Logen are starting to come around well, that's good enough for me! 😇

Khadary cringes when he reads your posts. :)
He should be mad at whoever the hell were his CYO or travel team coaches. How can you not change that shot before this point? I mean guys like Shawn Marion had ugly looking shots but his actually went in. But even with Marion, how did someone not change that?
