Kadary

Exactly. Way too many people ( not Larry ) think out numbers are so bad ( they are ) that he will never get to say 70%.

That’s meaningless. We are 13-3 or whatever. What we need is for him to get to 70ish% rest of the year. That simple

I’m way less hopeful on the 3s but I just want him driving to the basket and picking up contact and scoring or kicking out to the collapsing D because the law of averages will kick in on the 3.

And to steal Lawmanfans line which I think is brilliant continue to play bully ball
If he plays hard, never shoots a three and shoots over 50% at the line the rest of the way I would be fine with him.

The thing with Kadary is he developed a hitch on his free throw (not sure who's to blame). I don't know if its something he can fix over the course of the season now so hopefully he can learn to shoot well enough with it from the line

Exit velo lol. Yea we'll continue to see. Whatever form change they worked on didn't last long. Hopefully he can go back to being a good free throw shooter and near 30% from 3 with his old form
KD's problem is with lack of focus. I think it is completely mental with him. Very few players get worse under Pitino. You can see what he is capable of when his head is in the game like in the X game.
BTW, tonight I am going to the Hofstra game with a donor to see Cruz Davis, a Pitino kid from his Iona days. Although a step down from. St. John’s, he is thriving under Speedy.

I find it hard to believe he could have ever shot 44% from 3 in 22/23. And unlike other I watched a lot of his games before this year. PS He was taking at about the same rate per game as this year.

I have to ask cause I have seen it a few times now... where does the KD nickname come from? KaDary? It keeps throwing me off lol

Justin Simon shot a very good percentage from three his first year with us on low volume. I think he hit his first eight or nine threes. Notwithstanding that aberration, he was a lousy shooter.

I think that shows that no matter how bad your form is...if you take the right shots and can slow down enough...you can still make a decent percentage. Obviously, this is one of the most extreme cases in basketball history. But, it is strong evidence that shooting percentage is more of a function of the quality of the shots taken than the quality of the shooter taking them. (Kadary from three will serve as a strong stress test for this)

I want Cruz to boomerang

Not sure touting the University of Texas-San Antonio lead guard helps your case lol
he showed his ability to be a contributor at GTown and FSU... (felt like he was at Gtown for more than 1yr...)

If he does in fact have one more year- he's putting up some nice numbers to get a good payday next season.
