You know who would have hated Kadary. Louie. Berry, Mullin and Jackson were better defenders in college than the pros. Heck Michael Jordan, Lebron James and Kobe played hard. Not sure why Kadary Richmond doesn’t have to?

If Repole spent his $ he on a serviceable 4 man to go with Zuby, Luis, Smith and Wilcher instead of Richmond we absolutely would be better.

I think if Kadary wasn’t on the team at all, we have the exact same record we have now. At best he has been a non factor.

Kadary Richmond has not played up to the expectations of anyone who watched him last year and thus thought they were getting (and paying for) the same type of player, so far. There's no feasible argument there.
RedStormNC's stats give a more complete picture.

But who expected him to replicate those numbers? Fans?Annoying thing about the NIL era is we hear about the price tag and automatically expect his seton hall numbers to translate. That’s not how it works
His usage% is down significantly from last season. Seton hall did not have RJ Luis, Devion Smith, Zuby level players on their team last year. Kadary was asked to handle way more of the workload and his numbers reflected that.
Yea the FT% is concerning but if you expected Kadary to just be plugged into a better lineup and have the same averages as last season that’s kind of on you, no?

Kadary's " per 40 min" stats are not notably better or worse overall. Some metrics slight better and some notably worse.
What I struggle with the most is that he plays lackadaisically, is nothing resembling a captain and in games like yesterday against a school like UD... Smith clearly came to play and Richmond was a pedestrian.

No ones gonna argue he’s shooting well from deep or the line.
Those other stats matter as well. And regardless of the shooting, and regardless of the hustle which irks me (and everyone!), he is producing in other areas at an extremely high level overall.
Exactly, he's on a loaded team for the first time ever. I know some were expecting a Naismith/BE POY candidate and have been disappointed. The shooting has been a real concern thus far, but I am glad he is on the team. He is a tremendous player even with his lack of shooting. I expect Kadary to find his groove soon similar to Dingle last year. He and Deivon are going to win us some tough games this year.
Many stats don't tell story either. Most of Richmond's rebounds (appear to me) as uncontested... as opposed to Smith who often battles others for a board. Similarly, many of the assists i see really were just passes but not play creating.
Hoping so.
Crunch time FT making could be an issue perhaps. He certainly has history of drawing fouls and hopefully, hitch or not, makes them.
