I never made it the Peach Jam, as my best friend and I were supposed to go yesterday evening but he weasled out on me. For weasling out, he decided to treat me to dinner. LOL I guess it's all good.
I decided I would ask my son and take him with me for today's evening session after work, but after a week long stay at an academic camp he decided to hang with one of his good friends later today, lol. I still may take the jaunt, depending how I feel once I retire for the day.
I saw on the other thread via Mike Zaun in regards to recruiting.... I feel rather confident we're gonna bring in a solid class. I think it'll be a combination of HS kids and JUCO's (I'm referencing high-level JUCO's).
Now, have we gotten in late on 2020 HS kids? Yes, we have. But I'm sure this Anderson, Cleveland and Macon are familiar with many of these kids whilst coaching at Arkansas and St. Louis, respectively. Lavin was able to bring in a talented class after only a few months recruiting those kids. He took some chances with a few, but the one's who was eligible were still talented.
I don't think we have to mainly rely on 3-star recruits, and I don't think we will (although, I do believe we'll bring in our share of 3-star kids throughout Anderson's tenure). I have a sense, as I stated before, Anderson has re-invented himself. It not only shows by how they're smartly and strategically recruiting (as, that's supposedly a part of the job), but also the hiring of Macon and DeMeo. I feel confident the hiring of those two will pay off at some point.
EDIT: Another thing: I'm also noticing this staff's eye for talent. A handful of the kids they're targeting are "blowing up" or have already "blown up" per se'.
