Julian Draft Spots

Hi Al, haven’t seen you post in a while . Your assessment of JC isn’t wrong but , in light of what he contributed here , was maybe a tad harsh? A great many very good players in the BE never get drafted or play in the NBA . It’s isn’t a end to their BB careers . They can earn very good $$$ playing overseas . Not in Russia though . Champ is likely in that category . I often asked what the difference was between Julian and Justin’s game was but , never got answer . Justin seems somewhat more likely to be a on / off NBA player .
Sly... my post was not about what he contributed to SJU basketball. I agree that he was a very good player during his 3 years at SJU, just not a great player. I am also well aware that many good players never get drafted in NBA, and yes he is talented enough to play and earn money overseas. My post was about him being "soft" as a player here for SJU and "soft" as a potential NBA player. He was never an assertive or agressive player. If he had 1/10th of Posh's effort he may very well have helped SJU win more games and have been drafted in the NBA. His game is perfectly suited for overseas. My post was about all the posters who had him as a sure fired NBA pro. Some had him as a 1st round pick, more had him as a 2nd round pick, and many still expect him to make an NBA team, NOT! Thus, he is what he is and my point is nobody should be suprised by his current poor performances as he tries to make the NBA. As an aside, his brother has more fire in his belly, and that effort has gotten him further in his basketball career.

Justin seemed to have a more physical game, comfortable banging bodies. I try not to make the characterological leap from style of play.

Unfortunately for Justin , SJU and it’s fan base Al is pretty much on the money. Rarely were the college games that he dominated on all ends. We all would like to see him in the league but without a big improvement on his part he will be playing somewhere , but it just won’t be the NBA. Continuing to wish him the best of luck.

Justin is more aggressive, Julian more passive.
